Communications Manager, London Region, The Jockey Club
The Jockey Club is looking to recruit a Communications Manager to join our London Region team, which stages such events as The Investec Derby at Epsom Downs, the Coral-Eclipse Stakes and Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown Park, and the William Hill King George VI Chase at Kempton Park.
This new role will report into the Head of Marketing for the London Region with an office base at Sandown Park but with very regular travel between the Group's three London tracks.
We are looking for a team player who has strong communication skills and the ability to make relationships at all levels with internal and external stakeholders. To be successful in this role you will need to be confidential, able to think on your feet and be calm under pressure.

The Jockey Club:
- Experience of developing and implementing a communications plan
- Experience of managing press/media personnel and facilities at large sporting events
- Experience of managing a budget
- Knowledge of the racing industry
- Experience of writing press releases and dealing with the media
- Knowledge and understanding of social media
- Strong skills in the use of Powerpoint, Word and Excel
- Enthusiasm and determination
- The style and approach to be taken seriously by the media and racing industry
- A current driving license and access to a car
