Nicholls rattles up treble

Paul Nicholls may have come up short with third home Pepe Simo in the Imperial Cup at Sandown, but the rest of the afternoon belonged to the champion trainer.

The Ditcheat maestro saddled his 100th winner of the season and broke through the £2 million prize-money mark after a treble courtesy of the Ruby Walsh-ridden Red Harbour, Meanus Dandy and Tchico Polos.

"It has been a good day and it is nice to get the 100th winner before Cheltenham," said Nicholls.
