Racegoers in the Garden Enclosure can bring picnics and enjoy the perfect day out. This enclosure has restricted race viewing. Access to the area in front of the stage is available after the last race. All ticket types have access to the area in front of the stage.

 

This enclosure has restricted race viewing as it is positioned between the two and one furlong pole and has no access to the Parade Ring, Pre Parade Ring or Winners’ Enclosure. Most of the racing can be seen on a large screen only. Customers with Garden Enclosure tickets cannot gain access into the Premier or Grandstand & Paddock Enclosures.

 

Please note that the Garden Enclosure is outdoors with limited shelter.

 

Restrictions in the Garden Enclosure:

  • Alcohol - This must with accompanied by a substantial picnic and limited to four cans beer/cider/pre mixed aperitif per person or one bottle of wine/champagne per person. No spirits, fortified wines and Pimm’s (or similar) are not allowed on course. All bottles/cartons must be sealed on entry to the premises. Unsealed bottles will not be allowed.
  • Picnics (no knives, corkscrews, glass or ceramic bottles/dishes and glassware)
  • Outdoor furniture, gazebos (max. size 3m x 6m) or Fishing Umbrellas. The Racecourse reserves the right to restrict access for gazebos/Fishing Umbrellas if they pose a safety threat.


Please note: alcohol, picnics and garden furniture/gazebos are not permitted into the Grandstand & Paddock or the Premier Enclosure. If you have a Garden Enclosure ticket then you are more than welcome to bring your own gazebo and fold up chairs. Once the last race has finished we do ask you to return your items to your car before entering the other enclosures to watch the music.
