RETURN OF RACING WITH SPECTATORS
Following the news that England is now in a National Lockdown, unfortunately we are unable to welcome spectators to the racecourse. This means that we will race behind closed doors, but we look forward to being able to welcome racegoers again when it’s safe and appropriate to do so.
We will be in touch with anyone who has already purchased a ticket for a fixture now affected by the National Lockdown and a refund will be automatically processed.
Please continue to visit our website, check our social media channels and email newsletters for news, updates and racing at home content. And don’t forget you can watch our racing live on Racing TV and ITV Racing.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR RACEHORSE OWNERS
We look forward to welcoming you to our racecourses.
As you will no doubt know, a limited number of spectators will be permitted to attend our racecourses in line with new Government restrictions, from May 17th. Please note that the number of racehorse owners with a declared runner will be limited to a maximum of six owners per horse, unless when stipulated otherwise.
Owners attending must comply with our terms and conditions of entry and agree to The Jockey Club code of conduct, which include following the current Government COVID-19 restrictions, including social distancing and no mixing between households.
Please continue to book badges by 4pm the day before you wish to attend. Track and trace information must also be provided for all attendees. The entry process at each racecourse will be the same as for spectators.
Owners will now be able to mix with trainers socially and you will also have access to enter the Parade Ring, Washdown area and Winner’s Enclosure, which currently will be only for your specific race/s. Face coverings must be worn at all times in these areas and when on grandstand steppings or seating, a covered area, in a queue and anywhere indoors, except for when seated eating or drinking. Everyone is also strongly recommended to wear face coverings when in other outdoor areas, but this is not mandatory.
Catering and hospitality will remain in line with Government COVID-19 protocols, where all food and drink can only be ordered, served and consumed seated. Please check the relevant racecourse websites for more details on the offerings at each venue.
We wish you every success on the day and look forward to you joining us soon.
Further information and more details are available in the BHA's Owners Guide.
