The November Meeting

The magic is about to start… read our guide to make sure you have the greatest day at the races.

The famous Cheltenham roar is about to return as we host Cheltenham’s second race meeting of the season - The November Meeting from 11 – 13featuring three days of magical racing, live music, shopping and plenty of entertainment for all the family.

We want to make sure you get the most of your day at the races, so we’ve created a guide, including our favourite places to eat, top spots to watch the racing and to get that ultimate picture for Instagram!

Make sure you’ve purchased your tickets in advance. You’ll get them at the best price and save up to £5 off the on-the-gate price. Buying them in advance also avoids any queues before entering the racecourse.

Upgrade to the Club enclosure… it’s by far the best. Club enclosure is our premium enclosure, meaning you have access to all public areas, more food and drink outlets, the Shopping Village, the Guinness Village and much more.

Arrive in plenty of time before racing commences, gates open at 10.30am on Countryside Day, 10am on Saturday and 11am on Sunday. This is around two hours before the first race, and gives you time to get your bearings and see what Cheltenham Racecourse has to offer.

Buy a racecard, which includes our racecourse map, a betting guide, the horses running in the races on the day, it’ll come in very handy when you’re by the Parade Ring and watching the racing live. Racecards are available to purchase around site, and are just £4

Make sure you visit The Shopping Village, we have over 70 boutiques visiting The November Meeting, click here to view them. So start your Christmas shopping early and take a wonder around our favourite businesses showing their bespoke products

The Guinness Village is a Cheltenham tradition, The November Meeting welcomes the arrival of The Guinness Village for another busy season. Throughout the three days at The November Meeting, it welcomes live music at intervals throughout the day. The atmosphere in The Guinness Village is a must, make sure you watch a race from here at some point during the day

As the first race of the day approaches, take a look through the racecard to pick your favourite. Keep an eye on our Twitter account for the updated Going, which may impact who you bet on due to the ground conditions and horses running better or worse on different grounds.

Then make your way over to the Parade Ring around 30 minutes before the first race to get the best view and catch a glimpse of each horse as they parade.

After each race, the horses head back to the Parade Ring to be presented with their trophy. But don’t move, as shortly after the winners have been presented their prize, the horses will begin to parade for the next race

Our favourite place to watch the racing from is the Members’ Lawn, but to get the best photo we recommend heading down to the Winning Post
