Introducing our very own

We are pleased to introduce you to Zara (regally named AL BURAAQ ZARA), our eight-year-old pony!

You can follow Zara's progress and support her when she runs in pony races.

Zara lives in St James City Farm in Gloucestershire. You can find out about St James City Farm and all the amazing work the team there do.

Support St James City Farm

We are delighted to have helped in finding them a pony that should give the budding riders at the farm a realistic chance of being competitive on the track.

Of course you can! We plan to have gallop sessions here at Cheltenham Racecourse where our very own Junior Jumpers™ can come along and watch her work.

When St James City Farm reopens for visits, all Junior Jumper™ members are welcome to pop in and say hello to Zara and the team, you might even get a bonus Junior Jumpers™ Stamp!

All we ask is that you call ahead first and check that she is in her stable.

Before the nationwide lockdown in March 2020, Zara was being galloped and trained by the wonderful St James City Farm team, headed by Imran and magnificently helped by Sarah.

Her rider Aamilah was forming a fantastic partnership with Zara and we were getting very excited to unleash the duo at a point-to-point and then, unfortunately, plans had to be put on hold. For the time being, we have found Zara a wonderful summer home, she is having an amazing time and seems to be loving life in the field but we are sure she is just itching to get racing once the opportunity arrives.

We are hoping that she will return to the farm as soon as Pony Racing is allowed to resume.
