THE WIGLEY GROUP HALF MARATHON RETURNS FOR 2020 

The Wigley Group Half Marathon will take place from Warwick Racecourse on Sunday 1 March, 2020.

 

In aid of The Barrie Wells Trust’s ‘Box4Kids'.

It will follow its traditional route through the lovely Warwickshire countryside providing athletes with an excellent opportunity to compete in a slightly undulating, traffic free road race.

 

This run is suitable for runners of all abilities and wheelchair users. Medals are awarded for all participants. 

 

Family Fun Run

There will be a 2.5k Fun Run available to enter on the day for children aged between 6 -16yrs*

*Option for adult to support child if needed

 

Entry cost: £5 on the day (all proceeds to Barrie Wells Trust)

 

Run for Charity

There will be a discounted entry offered for all local charities and club runners. Please call the racecourse on 01926 405560 for more details

 

This event is UKA affiliated, so you can count it towards your official times this running season. Registration Fee: £30 + fee

 

This Includes:

  • Race entry
  • Pre-race starter pack (to include official number bib and timing chip)
  • High-quality medal for all competitors to commemorate your achievement
  • Discount on official race t-shirt: £10 in advance (£15 on the day)
  • Free Parking at Warwick Racecourse.

All athletes that complete will be entitled to a free half pint of Hooky Ale by kind donation of Hook Norton Brewery.

 

We are delighted to be supported by Warwick Sports Shop and any athlete registered for the 2020 Warwick Half Marathon will receive a 10% discount on production of their entry confirmation in store.

By Road: The Racecourse is well signposted, and less than two miles from junction 15 of the M40. 

 

By Rail: Warwick Station is approximately one mile from the Racecourse. A direct service into London Marylebone (1 hour 45 minutes) or Birmingham Snow Hill is available.

There is parking available on site in the centre of the racecourse. Please enter through bread & meat close and head straight across the racecourse. The Warwick Sea Scouts will be parking cars for an optional donation to the charity.

 

Please note that Bread & Meat close will close at 8.30am and so any athletes arriving after 8.30am will not be allowed access into the centre of the course and other car parks will have to be utilised.

The Warwick Half Marathon 2020 in aid of The Barrie Wells Trust’s ‘Box4Kids’ initiative

 

The Barrie Wells Trust is delighted to be the official charity partner of the 2020 Warwick Half Marathon.  We provide VIP experiences for seriously ill and disabled children at major sports and entertainment events through our Box4Kids initiative. Box4Kids utilises the safe and exclusive space of executive boxes to create special memories for deserving children and their families. 

 

Join our running team today to help create more lasting memories with all funds going directly towards supporting Box4Kids events.  As part of our running team we will provide you with professional training plans from qualified coaches to support you across the finish line.
