188BET, one of British Racing's Authorised Betting Partners, is the new sponsor of the Grade 2 Old Roan Chase at Aintree in October, Grade 2 Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter in November and next Saturday's Prelude Hurdle at Market Rasen, Jockey Club Racecourses announced today.

The leading online bookmaker has agreed a package of 50 race sponsorships across Jockey Club Racecourses from this month through until January 2017, with 25 run at Exeter and another 25 spread around The Jockey Club's racecourse group.

The new sponsorship agreement sees 188BET sponsor the whole card for Market Rasen’s Channel 4-televised 188BET Prelude Hurdle Day on Saturday 24th September – worth £118,400 to connections and featuring the £50,000 188BET Prelude Handicap Chase (Listed) and £35,000 188BET.co.uk Prelude Handicap Hurdle (Listed).

Aintree’s 188BET Old Roan Chase will be run on Sunday 23rd October as the feature race on Countryside Day at the course. The Grade 2 Limited Handicap featured four horses rated above 150 last year, including winner Sound Investment and the previous year’s winner, Wishfull Thinking.

Exeter’s 188BET Haldon Gold Cup will be run on Tuesday 1st November as the feature race of Haldon Gold Cup Day. Last year’s winner Vibrato Valtat was one of four horses in the race rated above 150, including multiple Grade 1 winner Sire De Grugy and the previous year’s winner, God’s Own.

188BET’s Managing Director, Nigel Singer, said:

“We have been delighted to be associated with a number of horse racing sponsorships throughout the summer and we are now looking forward to the Autumn National Hunt campaign.

“With that in mind, 188BET is extremely pleased to associate our name with three high profile fixtures this autumn – the Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter, the Old Roan Chase at Aintree and the excellent Channel 4 card that takes place at Market Rasen this coming Saturday.

“These three sponsorships reinforce our commitment to the continued support of UK horse racing at an important time in its development.”

Paul Fisher, Group Managing Director for Jockey Club Racecourses, said:

“188BET lending their support to 50 races, including some of our sport's best quality Jumps handicaps, is a really important commitment. We value both this and their ongoing support for British Racing as an Authorised Betting Partner. I’m sure we’ll see some fantastic racing over the course of our partnership and good promotion for the 188BET brand.”
