Leaders in Racing, the new conference covering the international business of horseracing, which takes place in London on 6th October 2011, is delighted to announce The Jockey Club as a Founding Partner of the event.
The conference was unveiled recently after an extensive period of consultation with the global horseracing industry and many months of planning with its stakeholders. It was during that process that The Jockey Club decided to lend its support in order to help turn the concept into a reality.
Leaders in Racing will take place within the prestigious Leaders Sports Summit, which also hosts exclusive conferences for Football, Sponsorship, Digital Sport and Performance, with networking opportunities between each.
The agenda will cover all the major challenges facing the sport and will welcome governing authorities, broadcasters, racecourses, betting operators, owners, jockeys, sponsors, government representatives and experts from other sports.
Simon Bazalgette, Group Chief Executive of The Jockey Club
, said: “Racing has a fantastic story to tell and opportunities to share. I can think of no better environment to communicate our sport’s progress, challenges and vision than within the Leaders Sports Summit, which attracts 1,000 senior level delegates and 180 media from over 45 countries. Racing is not always well represented at major sports industry events and it’s time that changed.”
James Worrall, Chief Executive of Leaders Sports Summit
, said: “We are delighted to be partnering such a prestigious organisation as The Jockey Club, which is at the heartbeat of the UK’s second most attended sport. The support we are receiving will ensure that the conference will be an unprecedented success for racing and all its stakeholders.”
