Stylish fashions on show at Winter Ladies’ Day

Article 21st November 2019 Huntingdon

18th November 2019 – Huntingdon Racecourse is getting ready to put on the style at its annual Winter Ladies’ Day on Saturday, an occasion guaranteed to brighten up November with an array of fashionable colours.

One of the Cambridgeshire racecourse’s biggest racing fixtures of the year features a Gin and Jazz festival in a dedicated marquee, Style Awards and live music.

Over 4,000 racegoers will be welcomed to enjoy a Saturday afternoon of exciting jump racing, plus all the off-course attractions.

The popular social event offers an array of ‘must win prizes’. All visitors, ladies and gentlemen, are encouraged to dress to impress and take part in the free-to-enter Style Awards.

Liam Johnson, General Manager, Huntingdon Racecourse, said: “The final months of the year are the busiest time at Huntingdon Racecourse as we build up to December and Fitzdares Peterborough Chase day and our Boxing Day meeting.

“The fourth Saturday every November at Huntingdon is very much a significant fixture in the sporting calendar now, and we are delighted to be hosting Winter Ladies’ Day. We have a tremendous day of jump racing, fashions, jazz music, food and festive fare lined up and are looking forward to welcoming a big crowd on Saturday.”

The gates at the racecourse will be open from 10.30am, with the first race off at 12.30pm and the finale at 3.25pm.

One of the feature races during the afternoon is the Racing TV Lady Riders’ Handicap Hurdle, a contest which takes place over a distance of just under two miles.

Tickets bought in advance are just £19 for adults, a saving on the on-the-day price. Accompanied children are admitted free of charge. There is also ‘The Fizz For 4’ package at £22.50 per person in advance which gives four general admission tickets, a bottle of prosecco and two race-card vouchers – a total of £90.
