What to wear to the derby Festival

 

The Cazoo Derby Festival is the perfect reason to bring out your finest and most stylish clothing. This year, all ticket holders will be in the Grandstand Enclosure, so please follow the guidance below when planning your outfit.

Grandstand Enclosure

  • Guests are encouraged to dress smartly.
  • Ladies often wear a fascinator or hat but it is not a requirement.
  • Gentlemen often wear a smart jacket but it is not a requirement.
  • No sportswear or sleeveless vests should be worn.
  • Smart denim is acceptable but should not be frayed, torn or ripped.
  • Guests must not wear sports trainers.
  • Children should be dressed smartly.

Queen's stand Enclosure

For Members and Hospitality guests joining us in the Queen's Stand.

 

  • On Oaks Day please follow the Grandstand Enclosure raceday style requirements.
  • On Derby Day the Queen's Stand becomes a celebration of traditional tailoring:
  • Male racegoers are required to wear either black or grey morning dress which should include a top hat, service dress or full national costume.
  • For ladies, formal day wear is required, which can include a formal day dress or a tailored trouser suit, with a hat or substantial fascinator.
  • Children should be dressed smartly.

Joining us in HOSPITALITY?

The following applies for those attending in Tattenham Straight Marquee and Duchess's Stand:

  • Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket, collar, ties are encouraged.
  • Ladies are asked to wear a fascinator or hat.
  • Children should be dressed smartly.
  • Fancy dress is not acceptable in the Grandstand or Queen’s Stands during The Cazoo Derby Festival.

 

For Hospitality guests in the Queen's Stand on Derby Day, a formal dress code is required:

  • On Derby Day, gentlemen in the Queen's Stand are required to wear either black or grey morning dress which should include a top hat, service dress or full national costume.
  • For ladies, formal day wear is required, which can include a formal day dress or a tailored trouser suit, with a hat or substantial fascinator.
