Superstar mare Enable is set to return to Kempton Park Racecourse on Saturday 5th September to run in the Group 3 September Stakes.

The multiple Group 1 winner is bidding for her third success in the Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe, following her narrow defeat in last year’s renewal.

In 2018, connections used the September Stakes as her return to racing after an eleven month break following an incredible three-year-old season. The race set her up perfectly to claim her second win in the French Group 1.

The original plan for the 6-year-old mare was to run in the Yorkshire Oaks, where fellow Oaks winner Love is rumoured to be heading, but connections have decided to prolong the clash of these two superstar horses until they meet in Longchamp on the 3rd October.

Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah, said in a statement: "Prince Khalid has decided that Enable's next start will be the September Stakes at Kempton on September 5.

"As has been stated the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe remains her main objective." (Quoted from the Racing Post).

Racing on Saturday 5th September will remain behind closed doors, with ITV and Racing TV broadcasting the feature race, The September Stakes, at approximately 2pm.
