When to come
Twenty-one race fixtures take place across our season. From January to December we have a unique Jumps season. Fashions change with the season, think mulled wine and warm food in the winter months, with prosecco and canapes in the summer. One thing is for certain though, you are guaranteed to have thrilling racing all year round. Highlights include our BBQ and Beer Easter Sunday raceday and our fashion spectacle, the Summer Plate Ladies Day in July. Plus we also host selected music nights throughout the summer.
Fancy dress is permitted at Market Rasen Racecourse in the Tattersalls and Lawn Enclosures only. Whilst we have a sense of humour, fancy dress must be in good taste so not to cause offence.
Getting to Market Rasen Racecourse
Access via the M1, A1 and A46, the racecourse is well signposted on the east side of Market Rasen alongside the A631.
From the A1 please take the exit sign posted to Newark, Lincoln A46 and Newark North Gate Train Station. Then follow the A46 all the way to Market Rasen.
From the M1 please exit at junction 24 and follow the A453 into Nottingham following A52 then onto the A46 to Newark.
From the M18 (North of Market Rasen) please exit onto the M180 sign posted to Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Humberside Airport. Then take the exit onto the A15 sign posted to Lincoln. Then take an exit onto the A631 sign posted to Market Rasen.
On the day
You can expect exhilarating horse racing and entertainment! Gates open at least two hours before the first race so you can experience the on-site facilities.
All enclosures have a selection of bars and food outlets and on site betting facilities. The County Enclosure features the Champagne Bar and enhanced racetrack viewing.
