Tommy Cooper is a chartered surveyor and land agent who is a well-known figure in the sport, acting as a Racecourse Steward at several East Midlands tracks, including Market Rasen’s sister racecourses at Nottingham and Huntingdon. Racing has always been in Tommy’s blood with both of his parents acting as Racecourse Stewards.
Tommy’s earliest racing memories are of the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket in 1963 won by Only for Life and when he bunked off school with his father to see Royal Palace win the 1968 Eclipse Stakes at Sandown Park in a photo finish from Taj Dewan.
Jeremy is an executive search consultant having previously practiced as a solicitor in London for many years. He has been involved with horses all his life and first set foot on a racecourse nearly fifty years ago, since when he has been a regular visitor. He has also had the occasional interest in some, sadly slow, racehorses!
Jeremy has been a racecourse Steward for a number of years serving on the panels of various courses throughout the East Midlands, East Anglia and South Yorkshire. He was a panel Steward here at Market Rasen until he joined the Committee at the start of 2017.
Michael has over 30 years of commercial experience having owned and managed companies both in the UK and in the USA. For the last 5 years Michael has been a consultant focusing on mergers and acquisitions.
Michael’s interest in horses goes back to riding when younger, hunting with the Grove & Rufford, and some eventing with his own horses. Michael was also on the Hunt committee for over 20 years. He has always had a keen interest in horse racing and was fortunate to be associated with many successes on both the flat and jumps with his Father-in-law’s horses during the 1980s/90s.

I'm a Lincolnshire farmer running an arable unit and haulage company and shoot in mid-Lincolnshire. I have had a love of horses and racing since childhood and having studied Thoroughbreds at Witney College worked for several years as pupil assistant to the late Owen Brennan. I have a love of all country sports and all sport in general both participating and spectating. I enjoy playing tennis, golf, shooting and hunting with Brocklesby and Burton hounds in my spare time and have had and still have ownership interests in both flat and national hunt horses. I'm proud to be a director of Market Rasen and to help in its development.
