Q and A with The Red Shepherdess - Hannah's story is all the more remarkable as she didn't set foot on a farm until she was 20. She grew up in a semi in Bebington on the Wirral and had no farming background. People often ask her how she did it. In truth, she had a dream and had the passion and determination to do whatever was needed to make her dream a reality. Slowly and steadily across eight years, the townie transformed into the farmer she is today!
Hawkeye Falconry will be uniquely exhibiting their birds, making two appearances throughout the day.
Jazz band ‘The Hipcats’ will be roaming throughout the day.
During the day, there will be an opportunity for children to take part in pony rides around the RedRum Lawn.
Misselchalke Gundog's - Nick offers a lively and enjoyable display with full commentary. Using up to a dozen different gundogs, mainly cockers and Labradors with the occasional pointer, he skilfully demonstrates their training stages from puppy to fully trained. His grand finale is a rare opportunity to see one person handling up to seven dogs off the lead at one time—a mesmerising display showing the love of man for his dog and vice versa.
Don't miss the exciting – Lamb National. The Lamb National has become one of the most sought after arena acts; watch as agile sheep negotiate the race track. They even have 'jockeys' in the form of teddy bears to add to the fun.
As well as all of the above, there will also be face painters, providing something for every member of the family to enjoy.
Feeling spooky? With only a week until Halloween, to get you in the mood we are holding a Halloween Fancy Dress competition. Please come racing dressed in your Halloween costumes where you will then be photographed and entered into a prize draw. The winner will receive complimentary return raceday tickets to Aintree and a gift voucher for an online toy store.

In line with Public Health England’s guidance, Racing continues to recommend the use of Covid-19 mitigations to keep racegoers safe.
All racegoers are recommended to observe the following measures:
- Wear face coverings in enclosed and crowded areas – there will be additional facemasks available on the entrance to the racecourse but we recommend you bring your own
- Wash hands regularly – there will also be hand sanitising stations around the racecourse on the day and we recommend you use them frequently
- Observe social distancing where practicable and enjoy the vast amounts of space around the racecourse and avoid congregating in busy areas
- Be Covid-19 double vaccinated and any booster when offered, depending on personal circumstances, or undertake a Lateral Flow Test 48 hours prior to the raceday to identify positive cases
- If you feel you may be experiencing any of the recognised symptoms of Covid-19, please put on a face covering and speak to a member of staff in a well ventilated area. It is best to travel home if it is safe to do so.
- Please do not to attend if you are feeling unwell or are self-isolating
