Exclusive Grand National Pre-Sale to take place on Monday 22 July 2019 for 48 hours
Friday 19th July 2019 – Aintree Racecourse will go on exclusive pre-sale for the 2020 Randox Health Grand National Festival on Monday 22nd July 2019 at 10.00am. General sale for tickets will start on Wednesday 24th July 2019 at 11.00am.
The 48-hour Pre-Sale window is exclusive for people who have registered their interest through the Aintree website for the 2020 Randox Health Grand National. Last year, the pre-sale created an even bigger demand for Grand National Day tickets, with tickets selling out in record time and various grandstand seats selling out in just one day of pre-sale. You can still register your interest through the Aintree website here by midday on Friday 19th July to have the opportunity of purchasing your tickets for next year’s Festival before the masses!
Tickets for the 2020 Randox Health Grand National Festival will go on general sale on Wednesday 24 July 2019 at 11.00am.
For the second year running, tickets for grandstand seats and roof terraces will be capped to a maximum booking of eight per customer to ensure a fair chance of securing tickets to one of the greatest sporting Festivals of the year.
Dates for the richest steeplechase have been confirmed as Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th April 2020, and racegoers will be able to buy tickets online, by phone and at the racecourse itself on Wednesday 24th July 2019.
The 2019 Randox Health Grand National saw over 150,000 racegoers attend the three day Festival including a 70,000 sell out on Grand National Day and a TV audience of 9.6 million viewers on ITV.
The Grand National always throws up a fairytale and this year Tiger Roll raced into the history books emulating the late Red Rum with back to back victories of the world’s most famous steeplechase. As many describe him as a little horse with a giant heart, all eyes will be on the Gordon Elliott team to see if he can bid a third consecutive win in the 2020 renewal of the race next April.
John Baker, Managing Director for Aintree Racecourse, said: “The 2019 Randox Health Grand National was one of the sporting spectacles of the year. Tiger Roll and Davy Russell have a magical partnership and it was a special moment to see them make history, becoming the first horse since Red Rum to win back-to-back renewals of the race at Aintree.
“Overall, the three-day festival was a huge success and we were delighted with such great customer feedback from our racegoers. We’re looking forward to building on the success of this year’s event and providing an even better experience for our customers ahead of the 2020 Festival.
“We’re excited for our exclusive 48 hour pre-sale to start on Monday 22nd July followed by the general sale of tickets on Wednesday. I’d urge customers to get tickets and hospitality fast to ensure they get the seats they want and the best possible experience at one of the greatest sporting events of the year!”
