LADIES DAY AT THE RANDOX GRAND NATIONAL FESTIVAL SELLS OUT WITH LARGEST CROWD SINCE 2012 EXPECTED

Press Release 18th March 2026 Aintree

Aintree Racecourse today announces that Ladies Day (Friday 10th April) has officially sold out, with the biggest crowd since 2012 expected on day two of the Randox Grand National Festival.

All enclosures have sold out earlier than in previous years, highlighting a continued momentum behind one of the world’s most iconic sporting events.

Additionally, data shows major growth across a number of key audiences, with bookings from 18–24-year-olds more than doubling for Ladies Day, year on year.

Tickets for all main course enclosures, grandstands and The Festival Zone on Grand National Day (Saturday 11th April) have also now sold out. Limited availability remains on The Embankment, an area located away from the main grandstands with prime viewing of the first fences on the Grand National Course.

Opening Day (Thursday 9th April), which gets the Randox Grand National Festival underway with Four Grade one races, continues to perform strongly with availability remaining in The Festival Zone and terraces. Often regarded as the day for true racing fans to rejoice, Opening Day delivers a world-class afternoon of racing with a packed card showcasing some of the sport’s finest athletes.

Dickon White, Regional Director for The Jockey Club North West, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have sold out all enclosures on Ladies Day and for Grand National Day’s Grandstands and Festival Zone to be fully booked at this stage.

“The Randox Grand National Festival is one of the biggest and most iconic events in sport, and the demand we’ve seen this year has been incredible. To be on course for our biggest Ladies Day crowd since 2012 is a fantastic milestone and a real testament to the enduring appeal of Aintree.

“With limited tickets remaining for Grand National Day in the Embankment and strong demand across the rest of the meeting, we’re shaping up for another unforgettable week at Aintree.”

The Randox Grand National Festival, staged each April at Aintree Racecourse, culminates with the world-famous Randox Grand National, the most celebrated steeplechase in the world and one of the most-watched horse races globally.
