Fans of sport and racing will have an opportunity to join John Inverdale for a night at the races on April 18 when the broadcaster joins the team at Exeter Racecourse.
Inverdale will be hosting a private suite, with sports fans invited to join him for a fantastic night at the races that includes a delicious two course meal, including local cheeses, tea and coffee, Premier admission, a racecard and a Tote Courier.
The first of six races comes under starts’ orders at 5.10pm and then it will an evening of racing and chatting with like minded people against the stunning backdrop of Haldon Hill.
Plymouth-born Inverdale’s career as a national broadcaster began in 1985, firstly on Radio 2’s sports unit, and then between 1990 and 1994 at Radio 5 where he presented the flagship sports programme Sport on 5. Inverdale has headed 5’s coverage of many sporting events including the Cheltenham Festival, Wimbledon, the Olympics and the Ryder Cup. In 2015 he led ITV’s World Cup Rugby coverage and he is a member of Wimbledon’s BBC’s commentary team.
