Join us for an action-packed Friday afternoon of Jump racing at Market Rasen, which hosts a highly competitive seven-race card.
As you’d expect, the standard of racing is high and the feature race is the Listed Alan Swinbank Mares’ Bumper, which often produces smart horses to compete at the big festivals later in the season.
Named after the legendary trainer, the winner of this race generally goes on to become a key player in races such as the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham and the Mares’ Bumper at Aintree, as clues for the spring emerge thick and fast.
The 2021 fixture saw the inaugural running of a high-quality handicap hurdle for the stayers and proved a great success, with bona fide Graded performers On The Blind Side and the late Lil Rockerfeller treating racegoers to a thrilling finish.
That was all in front of empty stands as the pandemic continued to restrict our capacities. But that’s all the more reason to join us this time as we continue to welcome racegoers back to Market Rasen and serve up fantastic sport, food and entertainment.
