Great new racedays at Exeter Racecourse in 2019

Press Release 7th January 2019 Exeter

Exeter Racecourse looks set to be the hub of entertainment with two fabulous new racedays in 2019.

Pull on your best winter coat, dig out your tweed, find your best hat and don’t forget your gloves, because Exeter Racecourse is celebrating its first ever Winter Ladies’ Day on Sunday, February 10.

It’s a date to lift the winter gloom with a splash of colour, gather your friends, husbands, partners and children and head to Haldon Hill to enjoy a premier day of racing where prize money for the winning horses is in excess of £100,000.

That means some of racing’s brightest stars will be in action and with the spring festivals just around the corner, it’s time to soak up the atmosphere and see for yourself why so many love the sport of racing.

There’s an array of prizes for the best dressed ladies, some live music to tap your toes to, and for those new to racing, a behind the scenes tour an hour before the first race.

Who doesn’t need an excuse to wear that beautiful coat that is more often than not consigned to the back of the wardrobe? Pre-book a pair of Grandstand and Paddock tickets for just £15 and make it a date!

For the men folk, who are all of course welcome on February 10, there’s Gentlemen’s Day in support of Army Families on Sunday, March 24. Prizes for the best dressed men are just a tiny part of this all-encompassing raceday when the course will showcase the Army with an array of free activities. There’s a chance to watch the renowned  6 Rifles Salamanca Band and Bugles and grab a selfie too, get covered in camouflage paint, climb the wall in between the racing, and much more besides.

This is a day to celebrate the racecourse’s close association with the Army and we’ll be using the hashtag #ArmyatExeter in the build up to this fabulous new raceday.

Devon’s very own Grand National – the Devon National - is on Friday, February 22 and with pre-booked tickets Grandstand and Paddock tickets just £5 each for groups of ten or more, grab your friends and have a day out.

This race attracts some of Britain’s best loved chasers alongside a supporting card tailor made for racing’s rising stars.

In March, there’s no other sport than racing and with all the talk about the Cheltenham Festival, where better to join in than at your local racecourse on March 5. Grab a racecard, strike up a conversation, and learn who your acquaintance has the hots for at The Festival™ presented by Magners. With racing about to hit every headline, it’s also the perfect time to book a hospitality suite and entertain, whether its clients, friends or your employees. During March, there’s no other sport than racing. Jump on the band wagon at Exeter!

Our first ever Property and Construction Raceday is on March 18 and there’s 25per cent off in the Desert Orchid Restaurant. Get the best seats in the house and enjoy a day at the races.
