A stylish day at the races

Press Release 2nd July 2015 Kempton Park

Ladies’ Day at Kempton Park Racecourse, on Saturday 5th September, is going to be a fantastic finale to the summer season at one of London’s closest racecourses.  This is Kempton’s special day for the ladies, where fashion takes centre stage during an afternoon full of top quality racing, also featuring Ladies’ Day competitions sponsored bythe Bentall Centre Kingston.

During the afternoon all eyes will be on the best dressed and most elegantly attired ladies enjoying a day out at the races. You and your friends will have the chance to take part in the best dressed lady competition for a chance to win some fantastic prizes which will be awarded to the Best dressed Lady, Best Dressed Gentleman and Best Hat.

Judges for the fun-filled style stakes will include Laura Hamilton, presenter of Channel 4’s award-winning show, “A Place in the Sun” and “Cowboy Builders and Bodge Jobs” on Channel Five, who has taken time off from her hectic schedule to come and choose the best dressed outfits.  The Best dressed competition will be judged during the afternoon, in-between the racing action, with the chance to win some fantastic prizes courtesy of the Bentall Centre Kingston.

Laura Hamilton, says “I am delighted to be hosting the 'Best Dressed competition' at Kempton Park’s 'Ladies Day' - a summer’s day out at the races is always so much fun and i look forward to seeing all the great outfits the racegoers will be wearing including some fab hats.”

The racing action and the atmosphere on Ladies’ Day is going to be magical.  Enjoy an afternoon of top class horse racing on the track, including two Group 3 races - the Totepool September Stakes, won last year by the 2015 Dubai World Cup winner Prince Bishop and the Totepool.com Sirenia Stakes also one of feature races of the Flat racing season at Kempton Park.  Racegoers can place a bet whilst enjoying a drink in one of the many racecourse bars, a bite to eat in the ground floor of the Grandstand, or a delicious three course meal in the Panoramic Bar & Restaurant with some of the best views in racing.

Once the on-track action is finished, Kempton Park favourite Heart FM’s Toby Anstis, will invite racegoers to party away inside the parade ring, whilst he takes to the decks with a live DJ set to round off a great day out.  Toby can usually be heard on Heart FM’s Morning Show, the most listened to commercial radio show in the UK.

It will be a great weekend of live action with Ladies’ Day epitomizing glamour on and off the track; it’s a great excuse to get dressed up, enjoy a drink or two with friends whilst watching some exhilarating flat racing.  An absolute summer must!
