With over 200 production credits to his name, expect to hear the biggest pop hits from the last four decades when Nile Rodgers & CHIC headline after an exciting evening of racing on Wednesday 27th July 2022.

Parking & Travel

  • Complimentary parking is available in the Centre of the Course, accessible via More Lane. Due to the RMT industrial action, we have secured additional free parking located at Esher High School. This is located on More Lane
  • Parking in also available in the Portsmouth Road Car Park and is charged at £5.00 per car
  • South Western Railway will be running a reduced timetable on this strike day. On the Waterloo to Woking route there will be four trains per hour each way until 17:48 from Woking, and they will be stopping at Esher station. As a result, roads are likely to be extremely busy, so please ensure you allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative travel routes
  • The Entrance from Esher Train Station across the centre of the course will be open for this fixture

 

Arrival & Admission

  • You can access the Racecourse via our Main Entrance (Portsmouth Road) or via our Grandstand or Members Crossing in the centre of the course.
  • Please ensure you have your tickets ready to be scanned on arrival
  • Racecards will be available at this meeting and will be £3.00. They can be purchased at any of the Entrances and Tote outlets
  • We are operating this event as the Grandstand Enclosure only but you will be able to access the Premier Enclosure also throughout the evening

 

Timings

  • Gates will open at 15:45
  • First Race is 17:50
  • Last Race is 20:30
  • Nile Rodgers & CHIC will be on stage at 20:45 (approx) and will be performing for up to 90 minutes

 

Dress Code

  • We are looking forward to welcoming you to Evening Racing with Nile Rodgers & CHIC  at Sandown Park Racecourse. We hope that the weather will be kind, but such is the nature of the great British weather that we cannot guarantee it will be! Therefore we suggest you dress appropriately and keep an eye on the forecasts ahead of the event. We recommend dressing for the weather! Click here for more information

  • We operate cashless sales throughout our food and drink outlets, including concessions. For betting facilities cash payment will still be accepted, but contactless payments are recommended.
  • Picnics are permitted on course but they can only be consumed in the picnic enclosure by the Racecourse. Please refer to our picnic guidelines for more information
  • Please note - fold up chairs and other furniture are not permitted into Sandown Park Racecourse
