Market Rasen Racecourse has partnered with Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare to raise awareness and funding for the North Lincolnshire-based charity. The partnership involves Lindsey Lodge becoming Market Rasen’s charity of the year, with the highlight being the Lindsey Lodge Family Extravaganza Raceday on Sunday 1st August.
Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare has been providing high quality, specialist palliative care and wellbeing services to local people and families living with life-limiting illnesses for over 29 years. Lindsey Lodge focuses on the positives, providing patients with relief from the symptoms, pain and stress of a serious illness to improve quality of life for them and their loved ones, and to help them look ahead.
Market Rasen Racecourse is donating £1 from every advanced ticket booked for the Lindsey Lodge Hospice Family Extravaganza Raceday, which will go directly towards helping this wonderful charity to continue its incredible work. The seven races on the card will all be sponsored by supporters and partners of Lindsey Lodge, who have bought the sponsorships by donating to the charity.
The Lindsey Lodge Family Extravaganza Raceday will feature a host of fantastic entertainment for young racegoers, including the opportunity to meet ‘life-sized’ dinosaurs, enjoy a Jurassic treasure hunt, socially distanced kids races on the track and explore the fantastic ‘Neigh and Play Garden’.
There will be a number of opportunities to donate to Lindsey Lodge on the day of racing, including bucket collections, QR code donations and interactive games for families. The bucket collections and QR code donations will continue across all Market Rasen fixtures until the Family Extravaganza Raceday in 2022.

They provide invaluable services to people with serious illnesses and their families and I hope that this initiative will both boost awareness of their work and generate vital funding.”
