Market Rasen Racecourse has been named one of Britain’s leading racecourses after achieving an ‘excellent’ rating in the Racecourse Association’s (RCA) 2025 Quality Assured Racecourse Scheme (QARS).
The Lincolnshire venue was one of just 14 racecourses nationwide to score 90% or higher in independent raceday assessments carried out by the AA, the UK’s leading provider of professional hospitality accreditation. The national average raceday experience score increased to 85.7% in 2025, making Market Rasen’s result a standout achievement.
In addition to its overall excellence rating, Market Rasen was awarded two prestigious RCA Excellence Accolades for Warmest Welcome and Staff Customer Service, recognising exceptional standards delivered by its raceday teams. Benchmarks for the awards are deliberately set high to celebrate the very best practice across British racecourses.
Assessments take place through unannounced visits, with inspectors reviewing every aspect of the raceday experience including arrival and welcome, F&B, cleanliness and overall service.
Jack Pryor, General Manager at Market Rasen Racecourse, said: “Achieving an excellence score of over 90% in a year when assessment thresholds were raised is a tremendous credit to our entire team.
“We are passionate about delivering a warm, friendly atmosphere alongside high standards of service so receiving national recognition in both of those areas is something we are extremely proud of.
“It reflects the hard work and dedication that goes into every raceday here at Market Rasen.”
The 2025 results underline continued investment in raceday experience across British racing with 14 racecourses achieving excellence status nationwide.
