Grant Harris Appointed to Nottingham Racecourse Board

Nottingham Racecourse has appointed Grant Harris to its Board.


Bringing with him almost 40 years of senior experience from across British racing, Harris’ extensive background will support the racecourse’s continued focus on the quality and integrity of the sport while also enhancing the experience for racegoers, owners, trainers and jockeys.


Harris has held senior roles at the National Trainers’ Federation, the British Horseracing Authority and Weatherbys. Most recently, he served as Principal of the British Racing School. He is currently Director of the ALBORADA Trust, the philanthropic charitable trust of Lanwades Stud owner Kirsten Rausing, a position he has held since 2022.


Grant Harris said: “I have worked in racing for the best part of 40 years since leaving university in a variety of roles.


“Now is the time to give something back and become part of the successful team at Nottingham to provide the best possible experience for racegoers and participants alike.


“I am delighted to accept the opportunity and can’t wait to start at the first meeting in April.”
