Clothing

At Sandown Park Racecourse we believe racing should be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. And one thing is certainly true, the more relaxed and comfortable we feel, the more likely we are to have a great time. So that’s why we’ve created one very simple piece of guidance, to come “dressed to feel your best”.

We’re all unique, and no more so than in our sense of style and comfort. For some, wearing a nice sweatshirt, pair of jeans and clean trainers is what makes them feel confident and at-ease. For others, they might prefer to turn heads with a sharp suit or glamorous dress and high heels, particularly for one of our big race meetings.

But whatever your tastes, the most important thing when choosing your outfit is, of course, comfort and confidence. So wear what feels right for you and will keep you feeling your best from start to finish, whatever the weather. Here’s some other useful tips and advice for making sure your time with us is as memorable as possible.

What do we count as a child

For most of our events, children are counted  as 17 or under. This means if they are 17 they are a child. If they're 16 or below they are a child.

Excpetions for this are Music nights where on the ticket page online you will see there are tickets listed as child with an age range.

Ticket Prices On The Day

Ticket prices listed on the website are the price of the tickets online before the event.

Tickets on the gate will often be more expensive. To ensure you get the best price, make sure you book an advanced online before the day of the event.

Children ID

We reserve the right to request ID from anyone we believe to be trying to gain entry on a child ticket over the age of 18.

Sometimes people refer to senior concessions as old age pensioners. So if someone asks about old age pensioners, discounts refers to the information around senior concessions.

Yes, there are picnic benches available in the Picnic Enclosure. However, it's advisable to arrive early to secure a spot as this area can become busy.
