Today’s National Hunt meeting at Carlisle Racecourse has been abandoned due to snow.
This follows a course inspection which took place this morning (Sunday).
A spokesman for Carlisle Racecourse said: “Following the snowfall and sub-zero temperatures over the last 24 hours, we inspected the course this morning.
“Areas of the course are snow covered and frozen. This means we have had to take the decision to abandon racing today.
“All pre-booked tickets will be automatically refunded.”
The next race meeting at Carlisle will be on Saturday March 31st 2018.
