We are delighted to have you back at Carlisle Racecourse.

  

With excitement on the track and a colourful spectacle all around we promise to look after you from the moment you arrive. With our facilities being regularly cleaned and our racecourse staff trained to comply will all current guidance, you can rest assured that we will do our utmost to make your day as enjoyable and safe as possible.

When you return things will probably look a little different to your last racecourse visit but we have been racing safely behind closed doors for many months. Here are a few points to note before attending the raceday.

 

  • To meet current regulations on track and trace, we kindly ask for you to bring a form of ID and show this, alongside your ticket, on arrival at the racecourse.
  • General admission spectators will enter through the turnstiles, with owners and hospitality bookers entering through the main hospitality entrance.
  • For our raceday on 14 June, gates will open at 12:25, which is 1.5 hours before the first race.
  • For Carlisle Bell and Cumberland Plate day on 23 June, gates will open at 11:45, which is 2 hours before the first race.
  • Facemasks to be worn indoors, grandstand steppings and seating, covered areas and queues.
  • Social distancing must be adhered to at all times whilst on site, in line with Goverment guidelines which is currently 2 metres. 
  • All food and drink must be consumed seated, but socially distant queues will be in operation for purchasing food and drink. See more information on the food and drink tab above.
  • You are able to bring your own tables and chairs, which can be placed in our outside areas.  
  • The racecourse will be operating cashless.
  • Bookmakers will be on-site and accepting cash. There is a cash machine available in the Bell Hall.
  • Pet dogs are allowed.
  • Tickets are not available to purchase on the day.

  • Please be aware that food or drink will not be permitted to be brought onto the racecourse site.

 

  • You will be able to purchase food and drink on-site from various outlets, which will be operating with socially distance queues. We will also be operating a table service across the site.

 

  • Food and drink outlets will be using cashless payment methods only. A QR code will be provided across the site with instructions on how to order.

 

  • Alcohol will be served on the day, but customers will be required to be seated to consume.

 

  • Tables and chairs can be brought with you into the racecourse, and can be placed in our outdoor areas.

 

  • Social distancing must be adhered to at all times whilst on site, in line with Goverment guidelines which is currently 2 metres. 

 

  • Annual Badge Holders will have access to the 365 Suite and the usual hut by the parade ring, but both of these areas have limited capacity for seating, which will be issued on a first come, first served basis. However, there is plenty of outdoor seating available.

 

  • Please note, that due to current Government restrictions we will not be providing tea and coffee facilities in these rooms. For Gold Annual Badge Holders, Monet’s Bar will be open as a private facility.

 

  • May we remind you that facemasks must be worn in all internal areas across the racecourse, unless you are eating, drinking or medically exempt from wearing one.

 

  • Social distancing must be adhered to at all times whilst on site, in line with Goverment guidelines which is currently 2 metres.
