Running out of ideas to entertain your children as the summer holidays come to an end? Sandown Park racecourse has got the perfect solution with tickets free for under 18s at their Family Fun Day on Saturday 1 September.

The 188BET Family Fun Day in Esher, Surrey, will be packed with space themed family fun from noon to 6pm.

Along with out of this world face painting and photos which will be e-mailed to you to remember the day, there will also be a reptile petting zoo, space themed balloon modelling, biscuit making and crafting, activity packs, a climbing wall, bungee trampolines, bouncy castles, a soft play area, and the chance to meet Sparkle - Sandown’s horse mascot, and all of this entertainment is free!

The best dressed individual and family following the space theme will have the chance to win Chessington World of Adventure tickets.

This year’s Sandown Family Fun Day is supporting the NSPCC’s Speak out Stay safe service. With the help of mascot Buddy, specially trained volunteers visit primary schools across the country and teach children aged four to 11, in an age-appropriate way, about abuse in all its forms, how to recognise the signs and protect themselves and where to get help – including via Childline. In the 2017/18 academic year, the free service spoke to 39,505 children and visited 155 schools in Surrey.

NSPCC Ambassador and Mental Health campaigner, Kem Cetinay, winner of Love Island 2017, will be there on the day to present the trophy to the winner of the 4.10pm NSPCC Nursery Handicap Stakes in the Winners’ Enclosure.

In the family area, the charity’s mascot Pantosaurus will be joining in the fun and there will be some fantastic prizes, from getaways to fine dining, up for grabs through the charity’s online silent auction. There will be lots of family friendly food options and you also have the option to bring a picnic to be eaten in the Sandown Park Picnic Enclosure so it’s an even better day out on a budget! 

On top of all this, the day will see seven fantastic races including two Grade 3 races, The 188BET Solario Stakes and the 188BET Casino Atalanta Stakes. Last year’s Solario Stakes winner, Masar, went on to win this year’s Derby.

Under 18s are free while adult tickets are on sale from just £18 before midnight on 1 September (adult tickets are £20 on the day) so why not end your summer holidays with a bang.
