SPORTS TASTER DAY
On Friday 21 August, Sandown Park Racecourse will open its doors for its summer Sports Taster Day. Following its highly successful inception in 2014, the now annual event will once again provide a range of entertainment and activities for the whole family - the perfect day out during the summer school holidays.
Families can enjoy a variety of free sporting activities on the day including; training with the Chelsea Football Club Community Foundation where young racegoers can develop their football skills with fully qualified Chelsea FC coaches, a masterclass with the Epsom Volleyball team, drill demonstrations with the Cobham Lacrosse team, tutorials and shows with the Royals Cheerleading team. An equicizer will also be on hand for any future young jockeys keen to try out their horse skills, courtesy of BHEST’s (British Horseracing Education and Standards Trust) Racing to School education programme.
FAMILY FUN DAY
On Saturday 22 August, Sandown Park will host Peppa Pig, George and friends for this year’s Family Fun Day.
With a range of free family orientated activities and thrilling horseracing – the event is the perfect day out for all ages, plus Peppa Pig and George will be making personal appearances throughout the day. Top quality racing will take centre stage with highlights including two Group 3 races, the Solario Stakes and The Atlanta Stakes.

Sandown Park’s last flat race fixtures of the season, Fish & Chip Friday and Coffee & Cake Raceday take place on Friday 11 and Wednesday 16 September.
