The Randox Grand National is one of the most famous horseracing events in the world. Watched by millions of people across the globe, the anticipation and excitement are unmissable.

The three-day festival features Opening Day on Thursday, the famous Aintree Ladies’ Day on Friday, and the world-famous event on the Saturday, when the race by the same name takes place.

Every year is as unpredictable as the last, when 34 horses and jockeys battle it out over 30 fences, across a 4 mile and two and half furlong course to take their place amongst history’s greatest.

If you’re looking for the highlights, results and runners of past Grand National races, you’ll find them below, along with interesting facts from the race’s history.
