They greet you with a smile as you walk through the gates, help answer your questions, and guide you around the course, making every moment smooth and enjoyable. Racemakers are here to help turn the world’s greatest steeplechase into an unforgettable experience.

Racemaker Role

As a Racemaker, you’ll be part of a supportive and energetic team, helping keep the day running smoothly while creating a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience for every visitor that walks through the gates.

The role includes:

  • Greeting guests and provide a warm welcome
  • Giving directions and share event information
  • Assisting spectators with enquiries and accessibility needs
  • Supporting key event operations

What you’ll need to join the team

No previous experience in festivals or racecourses are required. We want individuals with a positive attitude, good communication skills, and a genuine desire to help.

You’ll need to be:

  • Over 18 at the time of application
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Confident communicating in English
  • Able to attend online training and complete onboarding
  • Available for Racemaker training at Aintree (dates TBC)
  • Committed to all three days of the Grand National (Thursday–Saturday)
  • Friendly, approachable, and ready to bring the racedays to life
  • Comfortable travelling to Aintree for training and event days at your own cost.
