Terms & Conditions
1. The Promoter is The Jockey Club, 21-27 Lambs Conduit Street, London, WC1N 3NL. (the "Promoter").
2. The Awards Competition is free to enter, and no purchase is necessary. Only one entry nomination per person, per business organisation, is allowed.
3. The Awards Competition starts on Thursday 16th October 2025 and closes 11.59pm on Thursday 20th November 2025.
4. To qualify for the Award you must be a resident in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and/or the Isle of Man. The Award is open to sole traders and small businesses (0-49 employees) that are majority female-led. The business must have been trading for at least six months with a registered UK address, and operate within the Liverpool City Region or surrounding areas (Chester, Wirral, Warrington, St Helen's, Halton, Preston and Wigan). For a full list of eligible postcode areas please see clause 26. This award is open to individuals who identify as women, including cisgender and transgender women, and non-binary people who feel their work aligns with the spirit of the awards.
5. The Awards Competition is only open to entrants over the age of 18, who have submitted an entry via the nomination entry form.
6. One prize is available - an exclusive partnership package at the Randox Grand National 2026 that includes:

- Advertising rights on Ladies Day to include full page advert in the racecard and advert on screens around course

7. One winner will be picked by an independent judging panel.
8. The winner will be notified via telephone using the telephone number supplied with your nomination. Confirmation of acceptance of the prize must be made by 5pm on Friday 28 November 2025. Failure to claim the prize will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. All reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winner before selection of an alternative winner is made.
9. In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Awards Competition, the decision of the Jockey Club shall be final, and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
10. The winner and their guest will be responsible for making their own travel arrangements to The Weights Lunch at St Georges Hall on Tuesday 17 February 2026 Ladies Day at the Randox Grand National Festival on Friday 10th April 2026.
11. If for any reason any aspect of this Awards Competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Awards Competition, the Promoter may in its sole discretion modify or suspend the Awards Competition or invalidate any affected entries. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
12. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and the winners and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of Awards Competition entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the Awards Competition or won using fraudulent means.
13. The Promoter will not be responsible if the winner is unable to attend The Weights Lunch on Tuesday 17th February 2026 or Ladies Day at the Randox Grand National Festival on Friday 10th April 2026 to health or other reasons.
14. The Promoter will not be liable if The Weights Lunch on Tuesday 17th February 2026 or Ladies Day at the Randox Grand National Festival on Friday 10th April 2026 is cancelled, delayed or suspended as a result of an act, omission, event or circumstance which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter.
15. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Awards Competition or accepting or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
16. This Awards Competition is not open to employees of The Jockey Club, members of the judging panel, their immediate families, prize sponsors, agents, clients, suppliers, retailers, merchants or associates.
17. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, alter, vary, suspend or withdraw this promotion as the Promoter deems necessary in its absolute sole discretion.
18. The Promoter shall have the right in its absolute sole discretion to substitute any prize with one of equivalent or greater value. The prize or its alternative must be accepted as offered. No cash alternative will be offered in whole or in part in connection with this promotion.
19. By entering this Awards Competition, you understand that for the purposes of administering prize fulfilment, it is necessary for The Jockey Club to securely hold and process your personal data.
20. By submitting an entry, you are agreeing that the personal information that you provided is processed in accordance with The Jockey Club’s Privacy Policy.
21. Data relating to entrants of the Awards Competition will be retained by The Jockey Club for a reasonable period after the Awards Competition closes to assist The Jockey Club to operate Awards Competition in a consistent manner and to deal with any queries in the Awards Competition. The winner agrees to the release of their first initial, surname and county of residence to any other Awards Competition participants if requested. Winner details can be found at https://www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/competitions/ two weeks after the Awards Competition has closed.
22. The Jockey Club may process your personal data for marketing purposes with your consent, based on a legitimate business interest, or as otherwise permitted by law. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of all marketing emails.
23. If there are reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions by an entrant, The Jockey Club may, at its sole discretion invalidate the prize and disqualify the entrant from the Awards Competition.
24. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
25. Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the rules will be based on English law and the courts of England will have exclusive jurisdiction unless you live in another part of the United Kingdom, in which case your local courts will have jurisdiction.
