There isn’t much you can buy for £5, whether it be a pint of beer or a cup of tea and a slice of cake at your favourite coffee shop.

How about a quality day of racing at your local Warwick Racecourse on Friday 21st February.  

The day features thrilling racing including the valuable Budbrooke Chase and falls during half term so we have lined up lots of entertainment for our younger racegoers to enjoy.

The Budbrooke Chase has a total prize money of £30,000 with the 2019 winner, Drumlee Sunset claiming by a short head for trainer Tom George and jockey Jonathan Burke.

The exciting finish saw Diable De Sivola and Leighton Aspell hold on close to the leading pair but miss out for trainer Nick Williams. The rest of the field followed by Dotitforthevillage, Foxtail Hill and Poker School.

The feature race also saw local trainer Dan Skelton’s Oldgrangewood who was partnered up the hill by Harry Skelton. The pair have since gone onto improve on their form towards the end of 2019 with a win at Newbury followed by a win on New Year’s Day at Cheltenham
