Christmas holidays were made for a day at the races, and all roads lead to Wincanton Racecourse on Boxing Day when the county celebrates a Wincanton tradition.

Christmas is such a special time. If you are with friends and family, bring them along and keep the festive celebrations going. It is the perfect place to walk off all that Christmas turkey and be a part of one of our biggest racedays days in the calendar.
Only available on Boxing Day, The Course Enclosure overlooks the second last fence. You are also able to bring your own picnics and your dogs to the Course Enclosure only. Please note, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
There will be no complimentary bus service from Templecombe on Boxing Day. We will be running a complimentary bus service from Morrisons Supermarket on Southgate Road.

Festive crowds flocked to Wincanton where it was a Boxing Day to remember for trainers Harry Fry and Hughie Morrison who both came away with doubles. The feature of the day, the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle was won by Third Wind for Tom O’Brien and Hughie Morrison to beat Jatiluwih into second by only a length.
