Wincanton's Season Opener Charity Partner
We are proud to be supporting the High Sheriff of Somerset Charitable Trust and the Eloise & Katie Memorial Trust at our Season Opener Raceday at Wincanton Racecourse.
Join us for an exciting day of racing while helping to raise awareness and support for vulnerable children and young people across Somerset. The High Sheriff of Somerset Charitable Trust provides grants to small organisations throughout the county that work with vulnerable children and young people, helping to fund projects that offer care, support, opportunity, and positive outcomes where they are needed most.

This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a memorable day at the races in style while supporting a meaningful local cause. All profits from the sale of these hospitality packages will go directly towards the charitable fundraising efforts connected with the High Sheriff of Somerset Charitable Trust and the Eloise & Katie Memorial Trust and their work across Somerset.
We look forward to welcoming you for an unforgettable day in support of a charity dedicated to making a real difference to children, young people, and communities throughout the county.

The Keagan Kirkby Stable Staff Charity Race

On Sunday 25 October at our Racing for Children Charity Raceday, we will reintroduce the Keagan Kirkby Perpetual Trophy in memory of Keagan Kirkby, who tragically lost his life in a fall at the Charing point-to-point in February. Keagan, a much-loved and respected member of Paul Nicholls’ team, made a lasting impact on those around him. His loss was deeply felt across the racing community, both locally and beyond.
The trophy will be awarded annually as part of a stable staff charity race, created to celebrate Keagan’s life and passion for racing. This year’s race will be run in support of Wincanton’s Season Opner Charity Partners, The Eloise and Katie Memorial Trust and The High Sheriff of Somerset Charitable Trust.
