'The Going' is a description of the ground conditions underfoot on the racecourse.
Aimed at rewarding trainers who run horses regularly at The Jockey Club racecourses in the South West region for the 2021/22 season.
As part of The Jockey Club’s ongoing commitment to participants, should racing be abandoned in the middle of a card due to extreme weather challenges or issues with the ground, JCR will look to offer a one off, ‘good will’ payment to owners and jockeys to cover costs.
