South West Jumps Magazine 2019/20

South West Jump Racing magazine

As Jump racing prepares to return to South West region of The Jockey Club, the annual Kalendar Magazine has landed.

As we relive and reminisce over the extraordinary moments that last season brought us, we look ahead at what the 2019/20 season has in store. This year we caught up with ITV Racing’s anchorman, Ed Chamberlin as he talks of his love for Cheltenham, that unforgettable ‘Golden Hour’ at The Festival™ presented by Magners and how he has transitioned from the football world to racing. Willie Mullins shares his memories of the Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup and much more…

Kalendar Magazine 2019-20

Why is it called Kalendar?

The name 'Kalendar' is in reference to the first racing calendar which was produced by The Jockey Club in April 1752 by John Pond which gave notice that there would be a race at Newmarket for 'horses the Property of the Noblemen and Gentlemen belonging to The Jockey Club'.

We visited the home of BAFTA winning presenter Ed Chamberlin who talked about his love for Cheltenham, ITV Racing's team banter, and his thoughts on the 2019 Festival™ presented by Magners.
