Ticket Tout Injunction

INJUNCTION AGAINST THE UNLAWFUL BUYING AND SELLING OF TICKETS

 

By Order sealed on 4^th April 2019, Miss Penelope Reed (sitting as a High Court Judge) granted a permanent injunction to Jockey Club Racecourses Limited prohibiting ticket touting at the Racecourse. For the avoidance of doubt that includes the buying and selling of tickets by touts and the selling of tickets to touts by any person, contrary to the Racecourse’s terms and conditions. It also includes anyone assisting in that activity.

 

A breach of the injunction is a contempt of court and is punishable by imprisonment, a fine and/or the seizure of assets.
