Here’s what you need to know to plan your day for the highlight of the jump season. The most extraordinary racing event of the year.

Tune into Cheltenham Radio on 87.7fm for regular travel updates throughout the day, alongside your tips and insider news each day of the festival.

Make sure you join our presenters live in the Parade Ring everyday, where they will be joined by racing greats and special guests, previewing the afternoon’s racing and providing exclusive information, insight and hopefully some winners!

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR VISIT TO THE CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL

  • Download the Cheltenham Racecourse App to make the most of your day and be guided around the course.
  • Plan your journey, make yourself aware of the planned road closures and train strikes, visit the travel page for more information.
  • Arrive early, we open at 10:30, don’t miss out on any action and it might even mean you are able to spot jockeys and trainers as they arrive at the racecourse.
  • Tune into Cheltenham Radio on 87.7fm to get all your tips and insider news each day of the festival.

The Racecourse will be particularly busy during the Festival week so we advise allowing plenty of time to complete your journey and sufficient time to enter the venue. Cheltenham Festival will be a safe and secure event and so, as with other major events, security checks will be carried out before you enter the racecourse.   • Make a day of it, the Cheltenham Festival is more than four extraordinary days of racing, enjoy unmissable entertainment throughout the day: with a variety of live bands from jazz to rock performing in all areas of the course.
  • We’d love to see your photos from the day - use #CheltenhamFestival and tag us in your photos for the chance for your pictures to be shared on our social channels.
  • If you need any assistance throughout the day, keep an eye out for our "Redcoat" stewards or visit our staff at the information point, who will be happy to help.
  • The Orchard™ is a premium and unparalleled experience for racegoers, if you are a Club Enclosure ticket holder be sure not to miss out on extraordinary entertainment including our resident DJ, spinning Balearic beats and sunset classics from the sunseeker boat and the brand-new Orchard Food and Drink Hall!
  • The Shopping Village is bursting with wonderful shops, from fabulous fashion, accessories and jewellery to art, home furnishings and much, much more.
  • Where the craic is mighty, the Guinness Village it is a must experience at The Festival. Everyone is ready to party, and the atmosphere is electric.
  • As well as showing all the action in the parade ring and on the track, there will be interviews, behind-the-scenes exclusives and a close-up of all the entertainment at The Festival - so keep an eye on the screens to stay up to date with all The Festival happenings.
  • Did you know that most of the bars at Cheltenham Racecourse are names after famous racehorses? With the vast range of bars at the racecourse, from the buzz of the course-side Arkle bar or the glamour of the Moët and Chandon Roma Bar.
  • Don’t rush off! Join us in the Centaur after racing for a live band performance every day of The Festival.
  • Our car parks will be extremely busy and customers should be prepared that it will take time to leave our car parks, racegoers should be aware of the planned road closures to plan your journey home.
