Owners & Trainers Information for the Festival

Owners Information

All owners with an entry at the Cheltenham Festival will receive their owners’ brochure after entries close for the race their horse is running in.

Those still with entries after the last Festival races close, at the end of February, will be sent two car parking labels for each day that they have a runner.

Please note that the PASS System will not be in use for the Cheltenham Festival.

The link for ticket, badge & lunch bookings will be sent out via email to the listed owner, first named in a partnership or syndicate manager.

Any bookings made by owners who then do not have a declared runner at The Cheltenham Festival will no longer be valid.

For races that close in January, all owners who still have entries after the scratch date will be invited to book in their tickets, badges and lunches via our online booking form.

For races with entries closing after the beginning of February they will be invited to book in their tickets, badges and lunches via the online booking form at entry stage.

All owners with confirmed runners will receive a letter and email reminding them of the booking process for tickets, badges and lunches.

At declarations all owners will receive an email with this information. Owners with declared runners will be able to collect their tickets and badges on the day they have a runner from the O&T desk at North Entrance on arrival.

  • Every Owner and Partnership is entitled to six owners’ badges per declared runner, along with six complimentary lunches.
  • Syndicates and Racing Clubs are offered eight owners’ badges per declared runner as standard, along with eight complimentary lunches.

We understand that ownership comes in many different forms and as such we offer for syndicates and racing clubs to swap their complimentary lunches for up to 20 admission tickets to the racecourse.

We will always try our best to accommodate our owners where possible, so please get in touch with our Owners and Trainers team should you wish to enquire about lunches or further badges.

Cheltenham reserves the right to offer additional Owners’ Badges & Lunches at their discretion and subject to space. Any requests for additional badges should be made in advance of the meeting to Cheltenham.Owners@thejockeyclub.co.uk.

For Owners who wish to attend the Festival, even if their horse is not declared to run, we recommend that tickets are purchased in advance. If your horse is then declared to run we will be happy to arrange a refund for tickets you have purchased.

Owners will receive both an Owners & Trainers Badge and a Parade Ring Pass specific for their race.

The Owners and Trainers Badge will gain access to the Tattersalls Pavilion (if you are booked to dine there), O&T Bar / Bistro in the Princess Royal Stand and The Steeplechase Club Room in the tented village.

Please note that access to the parade ring will not be possible without a Parade Ring Pass. The number of Parade Ring Passes per horse will be dependent on the number of declared runners in the race.

Trainers Information

All trainers with an entry at the Cheltenham Festival will receive an Owners & Trainers’ brochure.

Those still with entries after the last Festival races close, at the end of February, will be sent a car label for each day that they have a runner.

Two Owners’ and Trainers’ metal pin badges will be available for collection at the Hall of Fame, from the 9th - 11th March, between the hours of 10am - 2pm or on Festival race days from the Owners and Trainers Desk at North Entrance.

Pin Badges allow access to the Weighing Room, Pre-Parade Ring, Parade Ring, Winners Enclosure and Unsaddling, Reserved Viewing area, Owners & Trainers facilities and the Owners & Trainers Marquee in the Tented Village.

If you require any additional metal pin badges for any of your team to assist you in the above areas, please get in touch with Jennifer on 01242 537602 or email: Jennifer.Dewhurst@thejockeyclub.co.uk

Trainers with entered runners will be able to book their lunches from February via our website via our online booking form.

Any lunch bookings made by trainers who then do not have a declared runner on that day at The Cheltenham Festival will no longer be valid.

At declaration all trainers will receive an email with the Festival information. Trainers with declared runner will be able to collect their tickets and badges on the day(s) they have a runner(s) from the O&T desk at North Entrance on arrival.

Your NTF badge will NOT gain access into the racecourse for the Festival. We ask all trainers attending that do not have a runner to collect two club tickets and badges from the Owners & Trainers Desk at North Entrance on arrival. Please bring your NTF badge with you to collect the tickets.

Trainers with runners at the Festival, please make sure that you wear the Festival metal badge on the day it is valid and that it is clearly visible at all times you are on the racecourse.

Owners & Trainers Dining

We are delighted to be able to offer our owners three dedicated Owners & Trainers facilities for those with runners at the Festival. These comprise of The Tattersalls Pavilion, The O&T Bar & Bistro in the Princess Royal Grandstand and The Steeplechase Club Room in the tented village.

The Tattersalls Pavilion – Located in the marquee below the parade ring, the Tattersalls Pavilion is perfectly located for getting to and from the Parade Ring. Please note that access to the Tattersalls Pavilion is strictly for those booked to dine there.

The O&T Bar & Bistro – Located on Level 2 of the Princess Royal Grandstand, the O&T Bar & Bistro offers excellent views of the racecourse. The Bistro operates on two sittings for dining at the Festival, which must be booked in advance. Both the Bar & Bistro are available solely to those with runners on the day.

The Steeplechase Club Room – Located within the tented village, the Steeplechase Club Room is exclusively for those with runners on the day. Well positioned for getting to and from the parade ring, shopping village and champagne bar, the Steeplechase Club Room has a retail food offering for those who may not be dining with us, pay bar and betting facilities. The Steeplechase Club Room is the perfect place to get a bite to eat, relax and catch up with trainers and friends.

We are pleased to offer two Owners & Trainers dining facilities at The Cheltenham Festival.

Owners with declared runners will be able to enjoy complimentary lunches in either The Tattersalls Pavilion, situated below the Parade Ring, or in The Bistro located on level 2 of the Princess Royal Stand – trainers’ allocation is two for the day they have a runner.

These two facilities are exclusively for those with runners on the day and those with access will have use of these facilities throughout the day. In order to accommodate everyone who wishes to dine in either one, we are unable to offer the use of a table for the day.

We ask owners to let us know, via our online booking form, which facility they would like to take their lunch in and the names of those dining.

We ask that all owners wishing to dine book their lunches by 4pm the day before racing.

Wristbands for those who are dining will be issued at the reception desk in the Tattersall Pavilion on the day you have a runner(s).

Extra wristbands can be purchased at a cost of £165 each, which includes lunch and afternoon tea, payable on the day. These may be limited depending on availability.
