If you have any further questions, please contact us by calling 01242 513 014 or emailing cheltenham.reception@thejockeyclub.co.uk.

Security bag searches are in place on racedays and no food or drink is allowed within the venue. Should you need to bring in food for a medical requirement then please do get in touch with us directly by emailing Cheltenham Reception on cheltenham.reception@thejockeyclub.co.uk.

ALCOHOL

Please kindly note that bringing your own alcoholic drink on site is strictly prohibited. Cheltenham operates a responsible drinking policy and all staff are trained to the highest standards. Please note that visitors to Cheltenham Racecourse will be restricted to buying up to four alcoholic drinks at a time. Complimentary water is available at all bars.

Please be aware when purchasing drinks, there are alcohol-free zones across the site. These zones can prevent you from taking your beverage out of the bar and the zones are enforced by Cheltenham so that all customers can enjoy their raceday experience.

Please respect our neighbours when leaving the racecourse. No alcohol is to be taken off-site.

CHALLENGE 25
Cheltenham Racecourse is a challenge 25 venue, if you look under 25 you will be asked for ID when buying an alcoholic drink. All racegoers are politely reminded that buying or passing drinks to under 18’s is not permitted under the racecourse premises licence.

FOOD

Food and non-alcoholic drink are permitted into the Best Mate Enclosure (except during the Cheltenham Festival). Those in the Club/Tattersalls Enclosure shall not take any food, drink, glass bottles or glasses onto any other part of the Racecourse unless this is specifically permitted by the Operator. Anyone with special dietary requirements is advised to contact the racecourse beforehand to arrange permission to bring items on site. Please contact cheltenham.reception@thejockeyclub.co.uk.

DRUGS

Cheltenham Racecourse does not condone the use of or dealing in drugs on site. We employ drug detection dogs at all our entrances on racedays and selected events. Drug enforcement laws are as applicable on this site as they are anywhere else in the country and any infringements of these laws will be taken very seriously. Our policy on drugs is based on both prevention and enforcement with the active targeting of those customers seeking to deal drugs to others.

Move around with your drink

We've made changes to our existing policy to make it easier for you to enjoy drinks on the go and in a wider variety of places, so you never miss a moment of the action.
