Gloucestershire handler Martin Keighley has three runners tomorrow on day two of The April Meeting, Thursday, April 19, when Cheltenham stages a seven-race card restricted to fillies and mares, the first of its kind in Britain. 
 
Course scorer Brillare Momento (Aidan Coleman, 11st 6lb) represents the stable in the £25,000 Listed Catesby Estates PLC Mares' Handicap Hurdle (3.15pm, 18 runners) over two and a half miles.
 
Brillare Momento impressed on good ground at The Showcase in October, taking the Ballymore Novices' Hurdle in good style, and last time out finished eighth behind Blow By Blow in the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle at The Festival on March 16.
 
The seven-year-old bids for her second success at The April Meeting, having triumphed 12 months ago in what is now the Listed Huw Stevens, Jo Whiley Afterparty Onsale Mares' Novices' Hurdle over two and a half miles.
 
Keighley said today: "Brillare Momento is in really good form. We let her take her chance at The Festival, even though we knew the ground would be against her, but she still ran well.
 
"All her best form is on nice ground and she will love the ground tomorrow following another drying day today.

"I think she could improve massively for the switch to better ground and, although she is off a high mark, I am hopeful we still have a little bit to play with."
 
The Organist (Oliver Sherwood/Barry Geraghty, 11st 7lb) sets the standard after her excellent fifth behind Bleu Berry in the Coral Cup at The Festival, when she was beaten five and a half lengths.
 
The Delray Munky (Iain Jardine/Ross Chapman (3), 10st 5lb) is on a roll after completing a four-timer in a valuable handicap hurdle at Haydock Park on March 31, while Majestic Moll (Emma Lavelle/Adam Wedge, 10st 1lb) got off the mark over hurdles in great style at Doncaster on her latest start.
 
Champion Jump trainer Nicky Henderson, who has won this race three times since 2011, is represented by dual Ludlow scorer Melangerie (James Bowen (3), 10st 6lb).
 
Keighley is hoping Spice Girl (Harry Stock) can emulate Brillare Momento by winning the £25,000 Listed Huw Stevens, Jo Whiley Afterparty Onsale Mares' Novices' Hurdle (nine runners), which opens the action at 2.05pm.
 
Spice Girl was prolific in bumpers last summer, winning three of her four races, and has a 50 per cent strike rate over hurdles, thanks to a pair of victories over two miles at Towcester in November and February respectively.
 
The five-year-old tackles two and a half miles for the first time tomorrow, having finished eighth behind runaway winner Laurina in the G2 Trull House Stud Mares' Novices' Hurdle (2m 1f) at The Festival.
 
Keighley added: "Spice Girl is another who will love the drying ground. She got stuck in the mud a little bit at The Festival.
 
"She is up in trip tomorrow and I think that will definitely suit. Eventually, I can see her running over three miles."
 
The opposition includes Dame Rose (Richard Hobson/Richard Johnston), Irish challenger Just Janice (John Kiely/Noel Fehily), who landed a G3 event at Down Royal in November, and J P McManus-owned Dame De Compagnie (Nicky Henderson/Barry Geraghty).
 
The first of two £40,000 contests is the Listed EBF/TBA Mares' Novices' Handicap Chase (2.40pm, seven runners) over just shy of two miles and five furlongs.
 
Dual chase scorer Tara Mist (Henry Daly/Richard Johnson, 11st 10lb) heads the weights and faces six rivals, including the in-form The Bay Birch (Matt Sheppard/Stan Sheppard (3), 11st 4lb) who is on a three-timer following wins at Towcester and Exeter.
 
Irish raider Fox Lass, trained and ridden by Denis Hogan, shoulders top weight of 11st 12lb in the £40,000 Arkells Brewery Fillies' Juvenile Handicap Hurdle (4.25pm, seven runners) over two miles and a furlong.
 
Same Circus (Donald McCain/Brian Hughes, 11st 9lb) is going for her third successive victory in the longest race of the day, the £20,000 JRL Group Mares' Handicap Chase (3.50pm, 10 runners) over three and a quarter miles.
 
Potential stars of the future could be on show in the concluding £15,000 Listed Spreadex Sports Betting Mares' National Hunt Flat Race (5.35pm, 20 runners).
 
Nicky Henderson took the spoils in 2017 and relies on Irish point-to-point graduate Lust For Glory (Jeremiah McGrath), who was a £240,000 purchase at the Tattersalls Ireland Cheltenham Sale in November.
 
Others to note include Market Rasen scorer Definitelyanoscar (Harry Fry/Noel Fehily) and impressive Plumpton winner Queen's Magic (Neil Mulholland/Richard Johnson).
 
Keighley saddles Chequered View (Harry Stock (5)), who carries the colours of owner/breeder H R H The Princess Royal, and the trainer said: "She has finished in the first four in all three of her bumper starts so far and some of that form has worked out really well.
 
"The Kim Bailey mare she was close behind at Warwick has since finished second in a Listed bumper at Huntingdon.
 
"She is entitled to take her chance and if she could finish in the first six in a race like this, I would be delighted."

The April Meeting starts today, April 18, with another seven-race card headlined by the feature £60,000
G2 Barchester Healthcare Silver Trophy Chase (2.40pm).
 
The going at Cheltenham is currently Good, Good to Soft in places.
