Background: King Power Racing is an emerging powerhouse in British racing, having been established in 2017 by the late Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. The Thai billionaire, who built his fortune through his King Power travel retail group, was tragically killed in a helicopter crash outside Leicester City's King Power Stadium on October 27, 2018. At the time of his death, Srivaddhanaprabha had a reported worth of US$4.9 billion. He is survived by a wife and four children, including Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, who is now the CEO and Chairman of King Power, as well as the Chairman of Leicester City Football Club. Racing interests: Beat The Bank, one of three horses purchased initially, provided King Power Racing with its first winner in a conditions race at Newmarket on April 18, 2017. Later that year, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and bloodstock agent Alastair Donald, who acts as racing manager, made a splash on the eve of Royal Ascot by buying six lots for a total outlay of just over £2 million at the Goffs London Sale. King Power Racing has continued to invest heavily and now has a string of over 90 horses, many with Kingsclere trainer Andrew Balding, while others are handled by Tim Easterby, Ralph Beckett, Sir Michael Stoute, Tom Dascombe, David Elsworth, Richard Hannon and Karl Burke. Flagship runners for King Power Racing include Beat The Bank, now a multiple G2-winning miler, and leading Investec Derby fancy Bangkok, who Balding believes could be the best three-year-old colt he has trained. Britain's champion jockey Silvestre de Sousa is retained by King Power Racing, an agreement which began earlier this year, and the partnership has got off to a flying start, with the ownership entity enjoying 25 winners so far in 2019 (up to including May 30 racing).

Born: December 29, 1972. Background: Son of former trainer Ian Balding, who saddled the 1971 Derby victor Mill Reef and over 2,000 winners in a career spanning nearly 40 years, and nephew of the late dual Grand National-winning handler Toby Balding. Brother of television and radio presenter Clare Balding. Andrew rode as an amateur rider on the Flat and over jumps, partnering 20 winners under Rules. The highlight came when he parnered The Queen's Shaft Of Light to win the Amateurs' Derby at Epsom Downs on August 25, 1997. After working for his uncle Toby, he spent two years assisting trainer Lynda Ramsden in North Yorkshire before returning to help his father at Kingsclere's historic Park House Stables, from where trainer John Porter sent out seven Derby winners in the 19th century. He took over the training licence at Kingsclere on January 1, 2003. The long-standing policy at Kingsclere of nurturing apprentice talent has produced the likes of William Buick, David Probert and Oisin Murphy. Andrew is married to Anna Lisa and they have two sons, Jonno and Toby, and a daughter, Flora. Balding trains many of the horses that race under the King Power Racing banner - the racing operation was established by Leicester City chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, whose life was tragically cut short at the age of 60 when he was involved in a helicopter crash in October outside Leicester City's King Power Stadium. Silvestre de Sousa

Born: December 31, 1980 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. First Winner: Ferocious Rose - Sao Paulo, Brazil, December 16, 1999 Background: Youngest of 10 siblings and learned to ride on his father's farm. The family bred a handful of thoroughbreds and Silvestre de Sousa spent his childhood helping out on the smallholding, rounding up cattle on horseback. But he displayed little desire to try making a career out of riding and left to work at his brother's furniture factory at the age of 16. It was only after a chance meeting with Fausto Durso, a jockey, who suggested his size and light frame made him ideally suited to race-riding that De Sousa decided to try his luck as a professional rider. Joined the apprentices' school at Sao Paulo, learning the basics of riding racehorses before becoming attached to the stable of the leading local trainer. Finished third on his first ride at Cidade Jardim Racecourse and did not have to wait long to taste success as he concluded his first full season as Brazil's champion apprentice. Racked up the winners needed to lose his claim in the space of 16 months. However, this bright start to his riding career was interrupted when he broke an arm in a fall, forcing the fledgling jockey to spend over six months on the sidelines. After struggling to make a comeback in Brazil, De Sousa, with 82 victories to his name, took the decision to relocate to Ireland in 2003 to work for trainer Dermot Weld in County Kildare. It proved difficult for him in a different continent with an unfamiliar language and the rider grew homesick. A brief spell in Dubai with trainer Dhruba Selvaratnam generated seven rides in the 2004/2005 season and offered some respite, although it was not easy on his return to Ireland, receiving only three racecourse mounts in the six months he had a licence there. He rode a lot of work and broke in young horses during his two-year stint with Weld. Frustrated by a lack of race riding opportunities, De Sousa was on the verge of returning to Brazil or going to Argentina in 2005 but a chance meeting with one of Dandy Nicholls' staff at the Curragh towards the end of that year saw him move to England and join the North Yorkshire-based handler soon afterwards. The jockey made his British debut when coming home 11th on board Four Amigos in a Wolverhampton handicap on November 12, 2005 and his first winner in the UK was on Sonic Anthem at Southwell on New Year's Day, 2006, a race in which his future wife Vicky Behan finished third. She enjoyed 13 winners, headed by Peace Offering's victory in the Gosforth Park Cup at Newcastle in 2006, and the couple have three sons, Ryan, Max and Harry. Success in UK: After a relatively slow start in his first few years in Britain, with the winters spent riding in India, De Sousa was about to go back to Brazil but the 2010 UK season saw a distinct upturn in his fortunes as he rode 100 winners for trainers such as David O'Meara, Geoff Harker and Mark Johnston. In 2011, he rode primarily for Johnston and enjoyed 161 UK victories, challenging for the British jockeys' title. De Sousa's first British Classic ride came on outsider Danum Dancer in the 2007 2,000 Guineas, while he won the Indian Derby on Antonios in 2009. He was appointed as a retained rider to Godolphin in February, 2012 but parted ways with the Maktoum family's operation in mid-2014 despite enjoying considerable success. He subsequently rode as a freelance and captured the Champion Flat Jockeys' title in Britain in 2015, 2017 and 2018. Early in 2019 it was announced he would be retained rider for King Power Racing. Has ridden five winners at Royal Ascot. Had a five-month contract in Hong Kong for 2018/19 season, riding 42 winners. Born: July 22, 1998. Background: From a family steeped in racing. Father Aidan has become Ireland's most successful trainer since taking over from Vincent O'Brien (no relation) at Ballydoyle in 1996. His mother Annemarie was Ireland's champion Jump trainer in the 1992/93 season. Donnacha made his riding debut in the 2014 Irish Flat season and enjoyed his first winner on September 7, 2014 aboard Quartz, trained by his father, in a maiden at Dundalk. His elder brother Joseph was a very successful jockey, winning the Investec Derby twice on Camelot (2012) and Australia (2014) before taking up training in 2016 because of increased weight. Background: The famous racing colours of Greek shipping magnate Stavros Niarchos, who died aged 87 on April 15, 1996, are continued by his children. Racing Interests: Stavros Niarchos first became involved in racing in the 1950s but lost interest before returning with a vengeance in the 1970s, campaigning a host of top-class performers, including Nureyev, 1,000 Guineas and Breeders' Cup winner Miesque, Machiavellian, Hector Protector, Hernando and Kingmambo. Although he never won the Investec Derby, Niarchos owned the 1985 runner-up Law Society. The Niarchos family, who bred the 2003 Investec Derby hero Kris Kin, have continued the tradition of excellence, through the likes of Breeders' Cup winners Spinning World, Domedriver and Six Perfections, European Classic scorers Dream Well, Sulamani and Divine Proportions as well as Bago, who landed the 2004 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. The Niarchos family also owned 2007 Investec Oaks winner Light Shift, as well as Main Sequence, who was runner-up in the Investec Derby behind Camelot in 2012 before going to race with great success in America. Notable performers in recent years have included four-time Group and Listed winner Bocca Baciata (Jessica Harrington), 2014 Matron Stakes victor Fiesolana (Willie McCreery) and 2017 Prix de Diane scorer Senga (Pascal Bary). The Sir Michael Stoute-trained Ulysses, 12th in the 2016 Investec Derby, was crowned the best older horse in Europe and the sixth-best horse in the 2017 Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings following a stellar season, which included victories in the Gordon Richards Stakes, the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown and the Juddmonte International at York before a third-placed finish in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Last year's superstar was the three-year-old filly Alpha Centauri (Jessica Harrington), who won four G1 contests - the Irish 1,000 Guineas, Coronation Stakes, Nassau Stakes and Prix Jacques Le Marois, ending the year as champion three-year-old filly at the Cartier Racing Awards. Management: Alan Cooper, whose father Tom bought four Investec Derby winners as yearlings, is the operation's racing manager, while Pierre Yves Gibert is in charge of their breeding operation, based at Haras de Fresnay-Le-Buffard in Normandy and at Oak Tree Farm in Kentucky. Frankie Dettori

Born: December 15, 1970, Milan, Italy. Background: the son of Gianfranco, 13-time champion jockey in Italy. Frankie (christened Lanfranco) Dettori arrived from his homeland to join Luca Cumani's Newmarket yard as an apprentice in July, 1985. His first success came on Rif at Turin, Italy, on November 16, 1986, and he rode his first British winner on Lizzy Hare at Goodwood on June 9, 1987. He passed 100 winners for the first time in 1990 when recording 141 successes and created history when riding all seven winners on the Saturday at the Ascot Festival in September, 1996. Dettori survived a horrific plane crash at Newmarket in 2000 in which the pilot was killed. He was retained by Sheikh Mohammed's Godolphin operation in 1993, but it was announced in September, 2012, that the retainer would not be renewed. It was subsequently revealed he had failed a drugs test whilst riding in France. On December 5, 2012, Dettori was suspended from riding for six months after being found guilty of taking a prohibited substance, believed to be cocaine. He returned from his ban at the 2013 Investec Derby Festival and spent five years as a retained rider for Sheikh Joaan Al Thani but now rides mainly for Newmarket trainer John Gosden and has had a lot of success thanks to that partnership - the latest being in the 2019 Investec Oaks with Anapurna on May 31. He is married to Catherine and they have five children. His best total of British winners - 233 - came in 1994 and he has ridden over 3,000 winners in Britain. He has enjoyed seven Epsom Downs Classic winners. It took him 15 attempts before Authorized gave him a first Investec Derby victory in 2007 and his second win in Golden Horn on 2015, while Anapurna was his fifth Investec Oaks success. He is the fifth-most winning jockey in Britain by numbers. Accolades: British champion apprentice in 1989 and champion jockey three times (1994, 1995 and 2004). Graham Smith-Bernal

Graham Smith-Bernal is a British entrepreneur and inventor. Having left school at 16, he started his career as a court reporter in the UK. In his twenties, he founded Smith Bernal international, the UK's biggest court reporting agency which he later sold for £15 million. In 1991, he devised one of the world's first computerised court reporting and evidence management services, LiveNote. This completely transformed how court cases were recorded and reported. LiveNote technology effectively speeded up the legal process by turning paper documents involved in court cases into digital files. He sold the software in 2007 for over £75 million. In 2008 Smith-Bernal founded Opus 2 International. The organisation is the world's leading international software and services business, developing and implementing cutting edge secure, collaborative, cloud-based technology on major litigation, arbitration and major inquiry hearings worldwide. It is based in London with offices in San Francisco, Paris, Dubai and Singapore. Racing interests: Following the sale of LiveNote, Smith-Bernal began purchasing a number of racehorses. To date, the most successful horse to run in his colours has been Grey Britain, who captured the Listed Betway Fairway Stakes at Newmarket in May, 2017. Smith-Bernal purchased a broodmare called La Mortala for more than $450,000 who was in foal at the time to Frankel. Born in January 2017, the young colt is called Fabrizio. Smith-Bernal is into the world of koi carp showing and Hiroshima is named after the city in Japan where he has enjoyed plenty of success.

Brett Doyle

Date of birth: August 30, 1972. Background: the 46-year-old nearly did not make it as a jockey as he was so badly injured in a motorcycle accident in the early days of his apprenticeship to Clive Brittain that any sort of riding career looked extremely doubtful. But he made such a good recovery that he was able to resume at Carlburg Stables and rode his first winner on Quiet Achiever at Pontefract in October, 1989. Following a string of big race successes in the 1990s, most notably aboard Brittain's Sayyedati in the 1995 Sussex Stakes, Doyle moved to Hong Kong to ride for trainer Andy Leung. The partnership lasted more than three years, during which time he rode 98 winners. Doyle returned to Britain for the 2001 season, riding 62 winners, but then spent a lot of the next 16 years riding overseas in various jurisdictions such as Japan, Hong Kong, Bahrain and Dubai. He moved back to Newmarket in 2017 to team up with Godolphin trainer Charlie Appleby, principally as a work rider. Doyle was the work-rider for 2018 Investec Derby victor Masar and has gradually been picking up rides for Godolphin in Dubai and Britain. He has ridden Hiroshima on his last two starts.

Sheikh Zayed bin Mohammed

Born: January 7, 2012. Background: Zayed is Sheikh Mohammed's second child with Princess Haya, whose silks were carried to glory in the 2008 Investec Derby by New Approach. The seven-year-old's blue and white colours are the original colours Sheikh Mohammed's racing operation used. They were worn by the filly Hatta, who was Sheikh Mohammad's first winner when she scored at Brighton on 20 June, 1977. The filly went on to win the Group Three Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood the following month. The couple also have a daughter together, Shaikha Al Jalila, who has horses running in Sheikh Mohammed's famous maroon and white colours.

John Gosden OBE (Clarehaven Stables, Newmarket)

Born: Lewes, Sussex, on March 30, 1951 Background: His late father Towser (1904-1967) was a trainer near Lewes in Sussex. John was educated at Eastbourne College and Cambridge University. He then worked in land management in Venezuela before returning to Britain to assist Newmarket trainer Sir Noel Murless from 1974 to 1975 and Ireland's champion Vincent O'Brien from 1976 to 1977. After a spell assisting Tommy Doyle in California, he set up as a trainer in the US in 1979 where he trained with success for nine years, sending out more than 500 winners. He saddled Robert Sangster's Royal Heroine to win the inaugural Breeders' Cup Mile at Hollywood Park in 1984. Prompted by Sheikh Mohammed, he returned to Britain in 1988, to train at the owner's Stanley House Stables in Newmarket. In 2000, he moved to Robert Sangster's Manton estate in Wiltshire, but returned to Newmarket in 2005, having bought Clarehaven Stables on the Bury Road. He saddled the first and second, Golden Horn and Jack Hobbs, in the 2015 Investec Derby. He enjoyed his third Investec Oaks winner with Anapurna on the first day of the 2019 Investec Derby Festival. Personal: He is married to Rachel Hood, a barrister who has served as President of the Racehorse Owners Association (2011-2016) and Mayor of Newmarket (2014-2015). The couple have four children - Sebastian, Serena, Theodora and Thaddeus, who is assistant trainer to his father. Hood founded and formerly chaired the Save Historic Newmarket Action Group, which has long opposed Lord Derby's Hatchfield Farm development. Robert Havlin

Background: Scotsman Robert Havlin, commonly referred to as Rab Havlin, was born on December 6, 1973. After graduating from the British Racing School in 1990, he based himself in Scotland riding predominantly for Jimmy Wilson and Linda Perratt. His first winner came at Ayr on June 22, 1991, when he rode the locally trained Diet to victory in a six-furlong handicap for Jimmy Wilson. Havlin joined the Peter Chapple-Hyam yard in 1994 and rode some top-class horses including subsequent Group One winner Close Conflict. After Chapple-Hyam moved to train in Hong Kong, Havlin was retained by leading trainer John Gosden at the beginning of 2000 season and immediately made an impact when riding Mount Abu to victory in the Listed Leisure Stakes at Lingfield in June. He has ridden many of Gosden's stable stars early on in their careers, including partnering both Enable and Cracksman to their debut wins. Despite riding several pattern winners in the UK at up to G2 level, Havlin's Classic successes have come abroad with victories in the Swiss St Leger, Swiss Oaks, Swiss Derby and Italian Derby. In 2017, he served a six-month ban after failing a drugs test in France. He protested his innocence, but all appeals, backed by Gosden, failed. He enjoyed his best year in Britain in 2018, partnering 127 winners. He has yet to gain a G1 success.

Born: April 20, 1982, in Co Cork. Background: One of amateur rider Pat Lordan's five children. He took part in pony racing before being apprenticed to trainer Thomond O'Mara for six years. First winner on the Gerry Cully-trained Ethbaat at Killarney on July 15, 1998. Runner-up to Tadhg O'Shea in the 2001 Irish apprentice championship and spent the winter of 2001/2002 riding for Barney Curley in Britain, having his first success on Just Magical at Wolverhampton on December 15, 2001. Rode extensively for the now-retired David Wachman and has also regularly partnered horses trained by Fozzy Stack and Edward Lynam. Godolphin

Background: Godolphin is the racing entity of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, and other members of the ruling Maktoum family of Dubai. He founded Godolphin as an expression of his lifelong passion for horses and racing. Its aim is to win races worldwide. The experiment began on a small scale in the winter of 1992. The Godolphin operation was formally established in 1994, with Hilal Ibrahim as trainer, when Balanchine won the Investec Oaks at Epsom Downs and Irish Derby at the Curragh. The following year, Saeed bin Suroor was appointed as the official trainer. Sheikh Mohammed's passion for horses grew into a major investment in bloodstock and has resulted in the growth of the world's largest and most global racing team, Godolphin, as well as the successful stallion operation, Darley. Today some of Godolphin's horses winter in Dubai, where some of them also race at the Dubai World Cup Carnival, while Godolphin contests races on four continents, with bases in the Middle East, Europe, North America, Japan and Australia. A total of 22 of his horses tested positive for anabolic steroids and were unable to race for six months. There has also been a significant Godolphin presence in Australia since August, 2014, with the majority of the horses under the responsibility of James Cummings. Godolphin enjoyed a first G1 success in Japan in 2018 when Fine Needle landed the Takamatsunomiya Kinen. Born: July 5, 1975, in Southampton Background: Brought up with horses. Involved with point-to-pointers at Anne and Peter Hext's stables when 12 and rode work for trainers Angela Knight and Jackie Retter, where he met Mick Fitzgerald. Appleby was keen to become a jockey and embarked on a nine-week course at the British Racing School in Newmarket at the age of 16. Joined Susan Piggott's yard but had to scrap ambitions of being a jockey after struggling with his weight. He became Piggott's travelling head lad but, upon her retirement, joined David Loder in 1995. Loder was renowned for his handling of two-year-olds and became a private trainer for Godolphin in late 1998, beginning Appleby's association with the global operation. Born: Cambridge, April 22, 1988 Background: Doyle comes from a racing family. His mother Jacqui formerly trained in Lambourn while his sister Sophie is also a jockey, currently based in the USA. He began riding out for his mother at the age of 10 and had his first winner on Farnborough at Wolverhampton on June 1, 2005. He hit the headlines with a treble at Lingfield on January 25, 2006. After quickly using up his apprentice claim, the 5ft 9in Doyle - one of the tallest jockeys in the weighing room - saw the winners beginning to dry up and by 2010 he considered turning his back on racing and even enrolled on a plumbing course. However, an upturn in the number of winners in 2011 caused Doyle to reconsider his decision and he never started the plumbing course. Born: July 5, 1932 Background: son of trainer Paddy "Darkie" Prendergast (1909-1980). Paddy was the first Irish-based handler to become champion Flat trainer in Britain in 1963 and saddled the winners of the all the British Classics bar the Investec Derby - he came closest with Meadow Court, who was second to Sea-Bird in 1965. He was also British champion trainer in 1964 and 1965. Kevin was born in Australia and, although educated in Ireland, he started his racing career in Australia where he was head lad to Frank Dalton from 1953 to 1956. He returned home and established himself as a leading amateur rider whilst serving as assistant trainer to his father. Filled that role for five years before taking out his own licence in 1963. Achieved first winner on Huncheon Chance for trainer Ian Ferguson at Downpatrick, Northern Ireland, on May 11, 1996. Sprang to prominence by winning the Irish 1000 Guineas in 1998 on Stack-trained Tarascon at age of 17 when apprenticed to Liam Browne, through whose hands jockeys Mick Kinane, Mark Dwyer, Tommy Carmody and Stephen Craine had also passed. Spencer was brought over to Britain by the Stack family friend, Barney Curley, to ride Magic Combination to win over hurdles at Kempton in January, 1999. Graduated from RACE (Racing Academy and Centre of Education) in 2003 and continued his apprenticeship with Kevin Prendergast. First winner: Red Venus, Naas, July 23, 2003. Divided time between Britain and Ireland in 2006 and 2007. Best season in Ireland so far came in 2010 when he notched up 22 winners. Rode 30 winners in Australia, the first of them in July, 2013, before being suspended for a year in October 2014 after testing positive for cocaine and giving false evidence relating to the sample. Returned to Ireland and started working for Aidan O'Brien in January, 2015. Gained biggest victory of his career in 2017 Investec Derby on 40/1 outsider Wings Of Eagles, the longest-priced winner of the Classic since Snow Knight in 1974, on his first attempt. Castle Down Racing

Castle Down Racing is an offshoot of Meon Valley Stud, whose policy is to keep the fillies it breeds and race them in the black and white Helena Springfield Ltd colours, and sell the colts. When occasionally the stud does race a colt it has failed to sell, the individual runs in the colours of Castle Down Racing "so as not to confuse the matter," says Meon Valley Stud's Managing Partner Mark Weinfeld. Background: In the autumn of 1977, bloodstock agent Richard Galpin was dispatched to Tattersalls sales to buy four yearling fillies as possible foundation mares for Egon and Elizabeth Weinfeld. It could scarcely have been a more successful venture with three of them proving high-class performers. The Henry Cecil-trained One In A Million, who cost 18,500gns, won the 1000 Guineas and Coronation Stakes, stablemate Odeon (38,000gns) won the Galtres Stakes at York while the Michael Stoute-trained Reprocolor, purchased for 25,000 guineas, won the Lingfield Oaks Trial and Lancashire Oaks and finished fourth in the Investec Oaks at Epsom. In 1979, the Weinfelds bought a farm at Bishop's Waltham in Hampshire that was named Meon Valley Stud and - breeding from the descendants of those yearling purchases - has become one of the most successful British commercial breeding operations. Egon Weinfeld died in December, 2013. His son Mark (Managing Partner) and daughter Helena Ellingsen (Partner) are actively involved in the management of the stud and many of their racehorses are leased to run in the name of the promotional company Helena Springfield. 2019 Investec Oaks winner Anapurna and Telecaster were two of 21 Meon Valley Stud foals in 2016. On May 26, Quest The Moon won the G3 Prix du Lys to become the 125th Stakes winner descended from Reprocolor.

Hughie Morrison (Summerdown, East Ilsley, Berkshire)

Born: November 7, 1960. Background: Father Lord Margardale was longstanding MP for Devizes and owned Fonthill Estate. He bred the Oaks-winning half-sisters Juliette Marny and Scintillate as well as 1978 St Leger winner Julio Mariner. Eton-educated Hughie Morrison, who rode five point-to-point winners and served as a steward at Newbury, initially forged a career outside racing. After graduating with a degree in business studies, he worked for a healthcare group as well as pharmaceutical and lighting companies forming an unusual grounding for a career in racing. "Anyone who has run a lighting business in Manchester in the depths of recession can cope with stress," he said. The lure of horses saw him spend two years as assistant to Paul Cole before buying Summerdown Stables at East Ilsley in Berkshire in September, 1996, and he began training following spring. Morrison was fined £1,000 after one of his horses, Our Little Sister, returned a positive steroid test after a race at Wolverhampton in January, 2017 - an offence that usually carries an entry-point punishment of a two-year ban. The British Horseracing concluded that "on the balance of probabilities, Mr Morrison was innocent of any involvement", with the trainer arguing that he was the victim of a "malicious plot". He has trained for Her Majesty The Queen and owners have included David Cameron's mother Mary plus the Duchess Of Cambridge's parents Mike and Carole Middleton. He trains the 2018 G1 Melbourne Cup second Marmelo. Has sent out seven Royal Ascot winners and won the 2002 Festival Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival with Frenchman's Creek, whom he also bred. Born: September 6, 1995 Background: Nephew of former jump jockey Jim Culloty, who won three Cheltenham Gold Cups on Best Mate and trained the 2014 winner Lord Windermere. Murphy began riding at the age of four and competed in pony races and show jumping. Joined Culloty's Cork yard at the age of 13 before teaming up with trainer Tommy Stack two years later. Started riding out for Ireland's champion Flat trainer Aidan O'Brien at 16 and then moved to England as an apprentice for Andrew Balding in October, 2012. First win came aboard Imperial Glance at Salisbury on June 16, 2013. Capped 2013 with a memorable four-timer on Ayr Gold Cup day, including in the feature race on Highland Colori. Had a three-month spell with leading Australian trainer Danny O'Brien in 2013/2014 and gained 13 successes. Crowned champion British apprentice in 2014 after riding 91 winners. Appointed second jockey behind Andrea Atzeni to Qatar Racing Ltd ahead of 2015 Flat season and became first jockey to the organisation when Atzeni returned to trainer Roger Varian in late 2015. Had his best season in 2018 when partnering 198 British winners, including Roaring Lion who gained four G1 victories.
