Your Raceday Experience
Walk-up tickets will be available for racedays that have not already sold out unless when specified otherwise. Please do check the website of each individual fixture or contact the racecourse directly if you require further information.
Please note, for those purchasing tickets on the day, we will be taking card payments only.
However, we do recommend that tickets are purchased in advance. Pre-booked tickets reduce the time taken to enter the racecourse on the day.
Once you have purchased your tickets, they will be emailed to you. Please note there may be a slight delay while your booking is processed.
Your ticket is designed to be either printed at home on your home printer and brought with you on the day or presented on arrival on your mobile phone from your email confirmation. You may also opt for your ticket to be sent to you via The Jockey Club app.
Please note that tickets are not currently being made available via our postal service.
Cash may be used when placing bets on the Tote and with all on-course bookmakers.
No! British racing is not currently utilising COVID Certification as a condition of entry.
However, you should not attend a raceday if you are feeling unwell and racegoers are also encouraged to ensure they are proven to be COVID negative in advance of attending for their own peace of mind. We recommend taking a Lateral Flow Test 24 hours prior to attending and 48 hours afterwards. If you receive a positive test, please follow this up with a PCR test, and if this is taken before the raceday you are not permitted to attend the fixture. In the event of a positive test, please contact us before racing starts to claim a full refund.

It is not mandatory to wear a face covering on our racecourses from July 19th 2021. However, in line with the latest Government guidance, racegoers are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering in areas where you will come into close contact with lots of other people, particularly indoors. Our racecourse teams will be happy to advise you if required.
Even if you do not intend to wear a face covering we do ask that you bring one with you, in the event that you feel ill during your visit and need to speak with a member of our team. We are not able to provide face coverings on the day.
Racegoers are advised to continue to check in with the NHS QR codes provided at racecourse entrances.
If you intend to visit our racecourses from outside England please check and adhere to England’s government guidance and your own government’s travel restrictions, rules and guidelines.
We’re confident that our events will go ahead as planned, but in the unfortunate event of cancellation or if our guest capacities are restricted, all affected ticket purchases will be fully refunded under our money-back guarantee.
Should Government guidelines change and/or restrictions on travel from specific areas or postcodes be reintroduced, affected tickets would be cancelled and refunds arranged.
If total attendances are restricted, we would refund purchasers on a ‘last-in, first-out’ basis for each enclosure. This means that those who purchased earliest have the greatest chance of being able to attend.
Attendee numbers will vary by racecourse and by fixture. However, as of Monday 19th July 2021 racecourses in England will be able to operate at maximum capacity, unless otherwise instructed. This is in line with the Government’s nationwide lifting of restrictions, as announced on July 12th 2021.
We offer a range of facilities to assist racegoers in maintaining hygiene levels, including hand sanitation stations, regular sanitation of touch points and ensuring indoor areas are well ventilated. As always the safety of all our racegoers, employees and participants remains our number one priority.
You should not attend a raceday if you are feeling unwell or have tested positive for COVID-19.
While nationwide COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted we also support the Government guidance to remain cautious and act responsibly. We thank all attendees for supporting the safe return of racing in front of capacity crowds.
If you fall ill on race day, please put on your face covering and approach the nearest steward, remaining at a safe distance and informing them of your symptoms. A qualified First Aider will then be called to attend to you and appropriate care will be provided. On racedays we will have a dedicated First Aid area and Covid-19 Isolation room.

Yes. If you’re in the fortunate position of having already transferred a ticket to the corresponding 2021 date then you may attend.
RCA-issued accreditation, including badge schemes and metal badges, are accepted forms of entry at most fixtures but will be used in conjunction with the PASS system.
Please note there will be a small number of fixtures where RCA-issued badges and accreditation will NOT be accepted and you will be required to apply directly to the racecourse for accreditation. We ask you to continue to check the specific raceday information and contact the racecourse directly if you require further guidance.
Spectators are welcome to travel to and from the raceday by any form of transport. Ample parking is available at all our racecourses.
Our racecourses continue to operate on a ‘cashless’ basis, including concessions. However, cash may be used when placing bets with all on-course bookmakers.
Yes. The Tote and bookmakers will be present. For betting facilities only, contactless is recommended, but cash payments will still be an option.
Alcohol may be purchased. Restrictions which limited the consumption of alcohol only to when seated are no longer in place.
We promote responsible drinking at all of our racecourses in partnership with Drinkaware, helping people make informed choices and being considerate of fellow racegoers at all times.
In the event you cannot attend the raceday your ticket may be transferred to another person.
We offer complimentary admission to one accompanying personal assistant in circumstances where a person with a disability would otherwise be at a substantial disadvantage without the personal assistant.
To guarantee availability, it is essential that you telephone us on the same day you make your ticket purchase if you wish to request a personal assistant ticket.
RCA metal badges (press/photography) to apply via PASS system the day before. Passcards must be displayed at the point of entry. Non accredited press/photographers will need to apply via the Racecourse.

On certain racedays we run a complimentary shuttle bus from Newton-le-Willows train station from two hours before the first race with return journeys after racing.
Currently not operating due to restrictions.
Gates normally open two hours prior on Saturdays and one hour prior to the first race on every other day of the week. even on quiet day’s traffic around the area and onsite can build up so it is best to arrive in plenty of time.
On music nights gates generally open three hours prior to the first race - please check the specific raceday page.
This depends on which enclosure you have purchased tickets for.
There is ample car parking for most race meetings on site which is free to racegoers.
Reserved car parking is available for those in Private Hospitality Boxes and on some Restaurant Packages.
Yes, children of all ages are welcome at Haydock Park.
All children aged 17 and under gain access to the racecourse free of charge (except for music nights) but you must purchase a zero value child's ticket prior to arrival online.
No refunds will be given on tickets or badges that are purchased and not required or used.
Refunds will only be given on tickets and badges if racing is abandoned prior to the first race.

All tickets in the Grandstand & Paddock, County or Premier Enclosures as well as badges for our hospitality suites, grant you access to the viewing area around the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure.
Tickets for the Be Friendly enclosure (when available) do not provide access to the Winner’s Enclosure or Parade Ring.
Yes, all tickets for our music night grant you access to both racing and concert.
If you have selected standard mail delivery, tickets will be sent out in advance of the raceday.
Please note that tickets are generally not sent more than two weeks prior to the fixture. However our team endeavours to send tickets as soon as possible. Delays may be possible for popular fixtures, such as music evenings and premium racedays.
If you have selected secure delivery a signature will be required on receipt. If you are unavailable at the time at the time of delivery, a card will be left advising you of the sorting office your order can be collected from.
No food is permitted to be brought into the racecourse.
Please note that picnics are not currently permitted.
Bringing alcohol into the racecourse is NOT permitted in any enclosure.
Furniture of any type, umbrellas, barbecues or gazebo type shelters will NOT be permitted into the racecourse on music nights.
Mobile Ticketing FAQS
Updated 6th August 2021 - We are currently experiencing a technical problem with race day tickets being retrieved on The Jockey Club app, please bring your Print at Home tickets to gain admission
Your tickets won’t be visible within the app until you click the link in your confirmation email. Open the email on your mobile device and click the download tickets link to ‘push’ the tickets to the app on your device.
Open the app and navigate to the Plan tab to access your tickets. You can swipe through each of the tickets and click the share button, to share the ticket with a friend. Your friend will receive a unique link, which they will need to click to download the app (if they don’t have it already) to access their ticket.
Cracked screens can prevent the ticket scanners from reading the mobile ticket. We suggest that you access your tickets using a friend’s phone, or print your ticket at home.
As well as being available to download to your phone using The Jockey Club app, your eTickets are also attached as a PDF to the booking confirmation email. If you prefer to use paper, simply print the PDF.
We strongly recommend downloading The Jockey Club app and adding your tickets before you arrive at the racecourse. This will help you to have a quick and hassle-free entry to the course.
You can access The Jockey Club app and your tickets without an internet connection, just make sure your tickets are downloaded to the app before you arrive at the racecourse. The Jockey Club free WiFi is also available at all of The Jockey Club racecourses.
No. The app is free and, in fact, mobile ticketing is the cheapest available option.
When processing your booking you will choose the delivery method of your tickets. If mobile tickets are available for your booking, mobile/print at home will appear as a delivery option for you to select.
