Quality jump racing featuring the Grade 1 Betfair Tingle Creek Chase

Day two of the Betfair Tingle Creek Festival is always a fantastic day packed with quality racing, an electric atmosphere and festive entertainment.

top quality racing

The second day of the Betfair Tingle Creek Festival attracts crowds of racing fans and horses from afar, with two Grade 1 races the Henry VIII Novices’ Chase and the Betfair Tingle Creek Chase. The Betfair Tingle Creek Chase is one of the key races of the season - steeped in history, the race boasts an impressive list of champions with the likes of Desert Orchid, Moscow Flyer, Kauto Star, Sprinter Sacre and Sire De Grugy taking their places on the roll of honour. The event was first run in 1979 and named in honour of Tingle Creek, a popular Jumps racehorse in the 1970s. Defi Du Seuil won The Betfair Tingle Creek Chase in 2019 after a close race with Un De Sceaux.

ALPINE LODGE

New for 2019, racegoers enjoyed our festive-themed Alpine Lodge. With easy access to the Grandstand and track, it's the perfect spot on the racecourse to sit back with friends and family in between the races. It's also the destination to head to after the last race to continue your day and party with live music from The Chip Shop Boys.

double the racing

On day two of the Betfair Tingle Creek Festival the racing takes centre stage with our popular Double Header showcasing all of the action from Aintree's Becher Chase Day. You won't miss a moment of quality racing as every race from Aintree and Sandown Park is shown live on the big screens around the racecourse.
