Tingle Creek Chase Day
Day two of the Betfair Tingle Creek Christmas Festival Chase Day attracts crowds of racing fans and horses from afar, combining Grade 1 racing with heartwarming festivities. The two Grade 1 races are the Henry VIII Novices’ Chase and the Betfair Tingle Creek Chase, both run over 2 miles. The Betfair Tingle Creek Chase is one of the key races of the season, won last year by Politologue. Steeped in history, the race boasts an impressive list of champions with the likes of Desert Orchid, Moscow Flyer, Kauto Star, Sprinter Sacre and Sire De Grugy taking their place on the roll of honour. The event was first run in 1979, and named in honour of Tingle Creek, a popular National Hunt racehorse in the 1970s.
Tickets are no longer available to purchase online, but don't worry, you can still purchase tickets on the gate.
