Just for fun - Dog Racing & Dog Shows🐾

In addition to the horse racing our much-loved Four-Legged Friend Day is packed with tail-wagging fun, from feel-good dog shows to crowd-pleasing races. Whether you’re entering your dog or cheering from the sidelines, there’s plenty to enjoy throughout the afternoon.

With the exception of the Pug Gold Cup, all dog shows and dog races on the day are free to enter and do not require pre-registration. Racegoers are encouraged to come along at the scheduled time to take part, with categories celebrating everything from fabulous fellas and loveliest ladies to rescue dogs and young handlers.

The Pug Pubs Gold Cup – Entry Information

After last year’s Pug Gold Cup went viral on social media, demand to enter this year’s race has been extremely high. For safety and space reasons, the race is limited to 34 Pugs, please use the form below to enter your Pug into this years renewal.

Pug Pubs

Pug Pubs is a local group of dog-friendly pubs in Warwickshire, founded by Matt & Alex Crowther, inspired by a love for pugs (especially their first pug, Henrietta) and a desire for welcoming, hospitable British pubs.

Pug Pubs focus on great food, drinks, unique events, and a warm atmosphere. They are well known for their weekly specials and communal spirit, calling their group a "grumble" of pugs.

The Fat Pug (Leamington Spa): Their first venue, known for being innovative and great for families, great pub food and an extremely friendly atmosphere

The Royal Pug (Leamington Spa): Bang in the centre of Leamington, known for its vibrant atmosphere and later opening times

The Black Pug (Warwick): A charming spot with the biggest beer garden in Warwick and gorgeous proper 16th century pub

The Micro Pug (Leamington Spa) The smallest in the "grumble," with a rich history, canal side garden and unique underground function room and bar

The Lost Pug (Northend): A village pub with modern touches, focusing on cozy nights by the fire, families and in summer the best front garden views around

Pug Pubs are a place for friends, family and well.. just about anyone!
