A Chase to the Classic Title

Blog 19th December 2019 Warwick

Classic Chase Day is the one of the most exhilarating racedays of the Warwick calendar and in previous years has played host to iconic performances in the Jump season.

In 2019, it was Sam Waley-Cohen and the nine year old Impulsive Star that came home in front. Under the colours of his father, Robert Waley-Cohen and Men Holding, the pair travelled well throughout the race, led from the last fence and claimed the win. Sadly, the pair have been unable to continue on the winning form pulling up in the last three outings.

James Bowen and Calett Mad followed in a second place with nine year old gelding Crosspark and Harry Skelton improving on their fourth position in 2018 to finish third.

This race in 2018 saw Bryony Frost and Milansbar dominate with a strong performance of 11 lengths ahead of nine year old Cogry and Jamie Bargary.

The Classic Chase each year contains quality horses stating their intent for the rest of the season, so make sure you get your tickets to witness horses with their eyes solely on the key Jump Festivals of 2020.

Not only will you enjoy the most exhilarating race, the Classic Chase, but you can also experience free racing heritage talks with star jockeys and trainers of yesteryear, and a special fashion parade of classic racing attire through the ages.

Make the most of our exclusive offer of two tickets for £30 when you purchase tickets before 10:59am on Friday 3rd January 2020 here.
