It’s the place to be seen this autumn as great horses, top jockeys and brilliant trainers come together to provide a jump racing spectacle for all to enjoy.

 

As well as the famous Badger Ales Chase, this day also hosts a Grade 2 Novices’ Chase, so you are sure to see a few stars on show.

 

It is a definite date in the diary for any Jump racing enthusiast and the perfect excuse to head down to Wincanton Racecourse this November.

 

  • Wear: A woolly hat! It may only be November but we are in the West Country. We advise you dress for the weather
  • See: The racing up close and make sure you watch a race from the rail
  • Buy: A glass of the famous Badger ale
  • Get involved: Why not place a bet and cheer home your horse – you could finish the year on a winner?

Present Man took the Badger Chase honours for a second year running under Bryony Frost for local trainer Paul Nicholls. The pair justified joint-favouritism for the race, holding off Sumkindofking for the feature race of the day. Verdana Bleu set up her season up with a winning appearance at Wincanton the Grade 2 Unibet Elite Hurdle for the Nicky Henderson team.
