It all began in 2015, when BBC Radio 1 united legendary DJ Pete Tong and visionary conductor Jules Buckley to fuse electronic and orchestral music at the Royal Albert Hall. Their debut performance, featuring a 65-piece orchestra reimagining Ibiza’s iconic dance anthems, became the most-watched BBC Prom on YouTube with over 8 million views and captivating fans around the world.
What began as a one-off show soon evolved into a full-blown musical phenomenon: Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics. In the years that followed, the live show would tour internationally, taking over world-renowned venues such as The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and multiple sold-out nights at London’s O2 Arena. Now, a decade later, Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics Orchestra has become a fixture on the UK’s live music calendar. With over 750,000 fans attending shows across the years, Ibiza Classics has redefined what live dance music can be.
